I'm in the boring way before O phase. Is it just me or do days move so slowly when TTC?

@emsems when is AF due? I always feel like seeing that is an easier blow to take versus BFN. I try to wait until one day after AF is supposed to be here. I totally know what you mean!

I need to ask a question, and it might be a silly one but Im trying really hard to time our sex well this month! I think I have been misunderstanding ovulation info.

Example: If I got a positive OPK on the 17th (AM and PM, and AM on 18th) we should be having sex at least through the 21st because ovulation can occur 12-36 hrs after an LH Surge? Is that right? We will be BDing every day.

That was last month. I think we started having sex too soon, and stopped too soon. We had sex on the 17th but didnt again for over a week. This month I expect to have a surge around the 20-21st. So my plan is to BD every day 18-25. Is that right?

After a surge is detected how many days after should we keep BD?

@mrs. 64: I think I am going to wait until the end of this cycle... unless this cycle goes crazy, crazy long. I'm on CD43, and my last cycle was 51 days, so hopefully I am near the end.

@babycanuck: The colors are slightly similar, but not quite, so I don't think its a total positive, however, since you BD EOD then you should be good! And to answer your OPK question, yes, it is normal and usual to get more than one positive OPK after your first one. I believe it means your surge is long, which is a plus! :)@mrs. 64: I am on the same boring face. Well, for me I have to wait for AF to make her way out first, which should be, hopefully, by tomorrow and then my BD starts, but for sure time moves veeeerrrrryyyyyyy slow when TTC
@citymouse: If you know around the time that you are supposed to O, I would suggest you start BD'ing EOD a week before you know O is coming and continue for another week. My MD suggested that I BD EOD from the time AF is finished to better my chances, which is hard to keep up, but we try!

@iluvpink i guess im afraid of the eod thing bc weve missed it in the past? I know sperm count is higher eod, but it really isnt that much lower every day. From what ive read?

@citymouse: I usually assume I O the day after the positive OPK. If I were you, I would get in O+1 but not worry so much about getting O+2. Since I'm TTA this cycle, we use condoms until O+3.

@ash interesting!! That is a lot of BDing, my cycle is longish 33-34 days, but we will try it! Did you guys use anything else like Pre-Seed or Soft Cups? If you dont mind me asking, how long had you been trying before BFP?

@citymouse: We did use preseed. I used opks so I only followed the plan for a week before O until O+1 (I think that's what it recommended). We miscarried in September (and after that my cycles were about 34 days) and took 2 cycles off as recommended by my midwife and got our bfp again in March (5 months of trying I believe). Most people from the POAS boards also know I started going to the chiropractor and that's the month we got KU. :))

@Grace: I wish we could DH seems like he isn't feeling up to the task this evening I have a feeling we may end up having to skip this month.
