@MrsMcD: Wow you have always had good BD timing!! That's amazing. I will say my BD timing is about 50% terrible but that's b/c of my wonky cycle.
Again I have good feelings this month and from the 3+ KU ladies I'm thinking maybe they might be right! Good luck!

@doxielove: Its nice you are getting testing done. I hope things work out the way you want them to. I understand how you feeling about wanting an issue to be discovered. I'd love to know there was an issue that could be fixed easily rather than a "everything's great, just keep trying!"

@MrsMcD: Thanks for your kind words. Truthfully my attitude varies sometimes by the minute.
But right now I'm feeling ok. We're still *relatively* new to the process (7 months in), and this is our first cycle with any sort of treatment. I have a good doctor who is proactive (I didn't ask for any testing when I established with her, but when I told her about my cycles, she started tests that day, and then immediately started treating me). I'm glad to know that at least the Clomid made me ovulate. Next step will be SA for DH, and the same dosage of Clomid for the next cycle. What happens next is totally out of my hands at the moment, so I might as well have my chin up, right?
I hope you are pleasantly surprised this cycle! And if not, that getting SA results and seeing your doctor next week give you some great momentum moving forward. FX!

Just chiming in to be a cheerleader for all of you ladies! Unfortunately I'll be back in here again soon, but probably not until June or July, since we're taking some time to recharge before I'm ready to face all the dr's appointments, meds and general TTC insanity again.
I hope May is a lucky month for you all! XOXO

What a day! Congrats! If you don't mind, please post if you did anything differently and what cycle you are on. For some of us well past 6 months, it is so hopeful to hear that someone can still get a BFP.

Thanks for the congrats, everyone! (sorry I can't keep up with this thread today!)
I told DH when he came home for lunch and he is just as excited as me
Funny story: DH sometimes has to give drug tests for his job - he said the sure predict/wondfo strips look just like the test strips he uses. Apparently they had a questionable one the other day, and he kept going back and forth with a co-worker on whether or not there was a line. Apparently we're not the only ones that have issues with squinters!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@charmed: Haha that's a funny story. I like to use the word "stark white" when there isn't a squinter. I think on the boards though we really want everyone to be KU so *sometimes* we see lines that aren't there just to be supportive which I think is super cute.

@AmeliaBedilia: here's what I did different this month (assuming it works out)
- Cycle number 9
- Had an HSG on CD7 (everything was clear)
- Was on vacation CD12-19 at an all inclusive resort (lots of eating, drinking, and laying by the pool). It was also the first real break I've had with absolutely no work in 4 years.
- First month taking progesterone (started at 1DPO)
- BD timing was -2, O, +1
hugs AmeliaBedilia, fx you get your bfp soon

@AmeliaBedilia: I think I'm a bit of a different case since I'm better at getting pregnant than staying pregnant. and I don't know if this one will work out. soooo, most of this probably does not apply to most (especially if you're not doing any treatments), but here you go.
I think what made a difference vs recent cycles was actually getting off clomid which was destroying my lining. we had less than perfect conditions - super stressful month, I was taking allergy meds which totally dried up my CM, and we only BD'd OPK+ and next 2 days due to DH's travel. I really believe that there's no silver bullet, at least for me.
if this one actually sticks, I think part of the credit is owed to being on metformin for a few months. supposed to make a difference for PCOS ladies. we shall see . . . progesterone did not make a difference in getting a sticky baby for me, but I know it helps some ladies. I do take baby aspirin as well due to my losses, but I don't think that makes any difference for me either to tell you the truth.
sorry if this isn't very helpful!

Question for those of you using progesterone...
Are you taking it based on Drs orders? How much are you taking? In what form?
Just wondering if it's something I should think about/talk with my Dr about for the future. Thanks!

@Keppa: this was my first cycle on progesterone. I am taking prometrium 200mg capsules, vaginally at night, starting after I confirm O. POAS around 14DPO, and if negative, stop the progesterone. It took about 4 days for temps to come down and AF to start.
persimmon / 1177 posts
@Crystal: thanks!
@Keppa: I'd been discussing my short LP with my doc and she suggested clomid. The timing wouldn't have worked this month, so I asked if she thought progesterone would be helpful. She thought it could help, and I'm on 200mg Prometrium orally (started at 1DPO). The plan is to take it through the first trimester.

@Kelli_Deluxe: AF is due Wednesday, so I'm trying to wait it out. I might cave tomorrow, though!

@MrsMccarthy: thanks, friend! I'm hopeful for you too!
@LIL BEAN: thanks! You know I'll report back to you ladies here either way!
@Sprite: I'm so sorry... I hope this time off gives you the time to recharge that you need.

@Keppa: I take endometrin, 1 tablet, vaginally at night. I was given it for my IUIs in a "can't hurt might help" way. it does hold off the spotting in my TWW (which I used to get as early as 9dpo, although my LP in total is not short) but I'm not sure it has too much effect otherwise for me personally. but drs have always told me it can't hurt.

@dc yoga bee: sorry friend 10dpo still sounds like a chance left though!

today's update is that it looks like my FRER did get a little darker, but I'm still nervous because my 12dpo test looked exactly like this for my last chemical, and my HCG started to fall/stall on 13dpo. I think if I can get through tomorrow with a darker test I will be able to relax a little bit. I am just happy not to have bad news today.
here is my progression - top wondfo is 10dpo, next wondfo and FRER are 11dpo, bottom two are 12dpo. if anyone else posted this I would think it was great, but my history just makes me nervous. also I need to stop testing with wondfos now because they take longer to get dark and are going to mess with my head.
eta: I took yesterday's FRER apart about 12 hours after I took it

@bhbee: Looking good!!!!!! I am praying for you! I hope tomorrow is better than today! I can relate to your worry, and it truly for me is still lingering......but for today you are PREGNANT!!!!

I started spotting this morning, and my temp has been dropping steadily over the past 3 days, though it's still above cover line. But I think it's safe to say I'm rolling over this month. Feeling a little bummed, but June is a beautiful month for a BFP, right?
GL everyone!
