@Raindrop: looks like it! The one at the bottom looks positive enough to me!

@MrsMccarthy: Great. I am a little weary about not getting cross hairs on FF.
blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts
@Raindrop: the cross hairs will show up if your temp stays up for a few more days. Looks to me like you ovulated on day 19, but maybe a late surge or maybe the day 19 wasn't dark because you tested at night.
Edited: just saw the times in the pic!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@mrs. tictactoe: okay this might be dumb but what does late surging mean? We only BD last night. Does it mean our timing sucks?
cherry / 166 posts
@Raindrop: my naturopath told me to hold off on BD until I get a positive OPK. (To help the buildup of good strong swimmers on his part.) The OPK shows the surge in your LH - which happens 12-48 hours before ovulation. So you have a little window to get those swimmers up to meet the egg. If I were you, I'd BD today and tomorrow too.
Your temps are confusing for FF because they fluctuate so much. But you won't get crosshairs until a few days after raised temps, a few days after O! Try not to worry about them. I just like them to help me pinpoint O day and POAS day after the fact.
Good luck!

@LIL BEAN: Thanks! I was waiting at the edge of my seat for a reply! I'm so silly. I will definitely try to BD tonight and tomorrow.
Yeah my FF is so confusing... confession I take my temp anywhere from 7am-8am when I wake up so it's not exactly the same time every day.
Today I took it a little later because my thermometer was having issues... for some reason it went blank after 10 minutes and I had to retake my temp.
cherry / 166 posts
@Raindrop: afterthought: try plugging your positive OPK into FF. See what it does.. (Just because you can, and it's what us TTCers do!)
blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts
@Raindrop: Well, some people have to take an opk a few times a day to catch the surge. I think your BD timing is good, just do it again tonight and tomorrow!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@mrs. tictactoe: Thanks!! I was freaking out this morning when you mentioned the late surge and started googling it. I felt like such a newb. (TMI) Hubs was like should we do it again right now but we both needed to get ready for work so I said no.. we are probably too late anyways. *sobs* I'm a bit of a drama queen sometimes. I try really hard not to be but sometimes my drama queen side comes out. But I'll let him know we BD tonight and tomorrow.
Sorry for hijacking the thread!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@LIL BEAN: Oh I usually plug it in... but I have never temped and opk at the same time... and I didn't want to affect FF with opks because I wanted to see how only my temp did this month. I kind of wanted to see how the algorithm did with just my temp data. I was planning to plug my opk data after I got cross hairs.

@Sprite: I"m sorry you are having to take some time to recharge. But I hope a little recharging does you good!
@bhbee: your HPT lines are looking great! I'm sorry you are feeling nervous. But I'm really looking forward to a full HB celebration for you when you feel ready.
@HeartAbandoned: So sorry to hear you are spotting. And if May isn't your month, then June certainly can be a fantastic month!!
@Raindrop: Do it, to it, girl!! That's a positive OPK!!

@doxielove: Thanks for asking the SA results. I actually got them yesterday and have been obsessively searching the internet ever since to help me make sense.
DH's morphology is 8%.
That clearly seems problematic to me.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@MrsMcD: how do the rest of the results look? Have you had a chance to discuss it?
BFN this morning at CD12. AF expected to arrive tomorrow.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Crystal: Sorry about the BFN. I'm expecting AF tomorrow too. And no, I haven't spoken with anyone about the results (except all of my supportive friends.)
I have an appointment with my obgyn who specializes in infertility (i guess as much as a non-RE can) next Tuesday. I'm hoping she can interpret the results and tell me and DH how to proceed. But I think all his other results look fine.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@MrsMcD: Thanks MrsMcD. Good luck at your appointment. It might not be you either! I read sometimes IF is unexplained. EDT: I realized that didn't really sound great... I guess what I'm saying is I hope the appointment goes well and that you are one step closer to a BFP.
@Crystal: You are not out till you are out. FX for you!

@charmed: Thanks, lady!
So now I have a newly sparked interest in IUI. Who on this thread is doing IUI?
bananas / 9229 posts
@Keppa: Basically what @AmeliaBedilia: said... I took it vaginally at night before bed once O was confirmed. That was usually 3-4DPO (based on temping/charting). My doctor prescribed it for 12 days but that would be a super long LP so I usually took it until 13DPO or so, whatever CD it was on a weekend. POAS, if negative would stop progesterone. AF usually arrived 2-3 days later. What makes you want to ask your doctor about it?
@Raindrop: Looks positive to me this morning!! FWIW, I usually OPK at night after work. The RE called me yesterday to tell me I was "surging" (aka Oing). Last night's OPK was negative, this morning's (which I don't normally do) was definitely positive. Curious what will happen with tonight's test. If I hadn't taken it this morning, I may have missed it. Crazy how this works!!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Raindrop: I don't think there is a such thing as high-jacking the POAS thread. Otherwise it would just be a really boring list of test results. And we may be many things, but I don't think "boring" is one of them.
@MrsMcD: I hope you get some answers at your appointment! In my experience, having an answer/problem to fix is easier emotionally than being in limbo. (And I apologize if that came out weird - it's a hard thought to articulate, but I think you know what I am trying to say.) Although 4% seems a lot higher than most of the numbers on Mrstal's morphology thread. Regardless, I am pulling for you and I hope you get some news soon.
@Crystal: and @DCYogaBee: I am sorry ladies. I loathe late BFNs.
Update on me - nothing exciting happening on the TTC front, but that may actually be a good thing right now, because my endless networking/job searching seems to finally be paying off! I had an amazing meeting this afternoon with one of my all-time role models in my field (it was really a "give me some career advice" kind of meeting) and she was FANTASTIC. Based on our conversation, I think things might be moving soon for me. WOO HOO!!!!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@LindsayInNY: I'll let you know what happens tonight when I take the test.
Yeah I wasn't expecting to O this early since I Oed last month at CD32 (which I didn't expect to O that late). My body is really playing mind games with me. I swear.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@MrsMcD: I have no experience with IUI, but I have to say I have completely renewed faith in it since CatchAFallingStar got KU... she has really similar IF issues to me and I was told that IUI would be a waste of money and time... I want to shove her pee stick in my doctor's face!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@septca: Nice to hear about the job front!! Good luck sounds super exciting. BTW I love reading every word you write.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@LindsayInNY: It is crazy how all of this works!!
@septca: I totally understand what you are saying and I absolutely feel the same way. I was a bit relieved that (a) DH does have sperm, and (b) some of his little guys are just a bit misshapen. I feel like, "hey! That explains everything and its something we can work with!" Thanks for pulling for me. I'm pulling for you, too!
And congrats on the awesome meeting.
bananas / 9229 posts
@MrsMcD: I'm in the maybe IUI club right now! We were planning on it this past cycle and had to cancel right around the time I would've triggered. But that's the plan the next cycle we're able to. July, I think? We/I have unexplained IF.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Raindrop: ((blushing)) Thanks.
@MrsMcD: Yeah, I mean, the fact that they exist is HUGE. No really. I have an IRL friend (those exist?!?!?) whose husband had none due to some anatomical issue that I don't understand. Anyway, they did a string of failed IVFs before discovering just how profound his issue was - and then he had surgery to fix it. 6 months later, they told him the surgery had failed, but the next month... right after they had given up on having kids and made some non-family-friendly life and career moves... boom. Surprise BFP. When he went back for a WTF appt, they retested, and yeah, the surgery worked (obv). So, you know, actually *having* sperm is a good thing. And a fairly important part of this process.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@septca: Wow that's a crazy story! I have a few friends that had surprise BFPs too that were not ready but that story takes the cake.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@LindsayInNY: Thanks for the response! Gees... so unexplained infertility. Everything is great, but the bfp remains elusive.
@septca: And yes, the presence of sperm in my DH's dear body was such a relief. I can't hardly believe your friend's story! That's amazing! I'm so happy for them.

@bhbee: Ah it looks great!!!
@HeartAbandoned:
@Raindrop: That is a positive!! Catch that egg!
@MrsMcD: I think it can't hurt to bring up iui with your doctor! I don't know much about morphology and what is "good." Good luck at your appt!
@Crystal: Sorry about your bfn
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@MrsMcD: I think they may be multiple ways to calculate morphology but 4% is considered normal by both the REs I've seen. DH's was only 2% during our TTC for LO#1, but his other numbers were good, and they told us it might not matter. I got pregnant 3 times without even doing IUI (just clomid for my issues), 3rd one stuck.
3 years later his morph has been around 5% every time, so now in the realm of normal, but still kinda low, and again I've been pregnant 3 times in the past 9 months.
all that to say, don't worry too much until you talk to them more about what the results mean!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@bhbee: Thanks for your response!! I've seen reference to a scale of 4%-15%. Do you know that the is "normal" for? Like normal for people going through fertility treatments, or normal for all people trying to get pregnant? What would be considered a great morphology percentage? And please know that I am praying so very hard for this baby to stick for you!!
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@MrsMcD: haha there's no normal for people going through treatments seriously, 4%+, at least on the scale used for our SAs, is just plain normal. on the IF threads I have seen people in both single and low double digits (like 18% maybe). I'm not really sure what great is, but I think double digits is for sure. people who get pregnant quickly never have an SA so you never hear their numbers!
I think it does matter how it corresponds with count and motility. you'd be more worried about morph if you also have issues in those areas. if your count and motility are good you can afford to have a lot of duds, if that makes sense?
I think if you search around there may be a thread on SA results or morphology that talks more about it?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@bhbee: Thanks for all this insight. So true that we don't see the morphology results of people who get pregnant fast because they are never tested! Darn them! And you are right about other HB threads.
Sorry to hijack this thread, girls!! Carry on with the POAS chatter!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@MrsMcD: I love when the thread is hijacked (not because I have done it) but it feels like more to read and learn. Sorry I had no input but I was reading everything and wishing you the best!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Raindrop: Thanks, lady! I'm sorry I don't have any info to provide right now. But I have my WTF consult appointment on Tuesday and I will surely share any info that I get from that appointment.
