    @septca: Haha you have a very interesting match. I'm also into birth order too... first born with a first born is tough!

    I will say one of my good friends she's very into this stuff too... her parents are an almost perfect match... I believe it's a pig/rabbit (her dad is the pig and mom is the rabbit). They fight all the time and are very close to getting divorce so again these numbers aren't all they are cracked up to be. On a side their main problem is failing to put each other in their shoes, aka empathy. We think if they just step back and try to see things from the other person's point of view they would fight less but they are just too stubborn for that which are so classic pig and bunny traits.

    Ha it looks like DH is going to have zero compatibility with our first kid, unless it takes us until 2016. I hope not!

    @Raindrop: haha! You sassy little stalker, you! I didn't realize I hadn't given a POAS date here. I'm still waiting to ovulate- hopefully it's happening soon! I'm on cd17 today. Sigh. So even if I O tmrw, I won't POAS until May 27 or later... Oh! Just realizing that my bday is on May 29! Maybe I'll get a BFP for my BDAY!

    The last couple cycles, I O'd on cd14 or cd15, so this is later than expected. OPKs are still stark white. Hating this. But I'm trying to stay positive. Maybe my body rhythm is trying to sync up with the moon? (It's a full moon on Wednesday)

    @Raindrop: I love the zodiac stuff, too, btw! Thanks for the grid- me and DH are a 9! Woohoo!
    I also love astrological signs. My due date this cycle would be early Feb, meaning Aquarius. As a gemini, I get along with Aquarius very well! Would be cool.

    Last thing... Just for fun!... And because we already had a baby name discussion here, I believe... And because I heard it on the radio this morning... A baby name predictor for how popular your baby's name will be in the coming years!

    Kinda fun!

    @LIL BEAN: I hope you get an early bday present! I moved you to the 28th. We have almost one POASer for all of the 20s in Mays. haha. My birthday is May 14th. I'm a Taurus.

    I looked at you link. Very interesting I wonder how they can predict a name will be more or less popular in the future... maybe past trending?

    I'm an Ox, and DH is a dog. We have a rating of 7, so that's not bad! We are also both first born which can make it interesting at times.

    This was really fascinating to catch up on today.

    @marfi, good luck!

    DH and I are both monkeys, so we get a 9. Very interesting on the Chinese rush to have a baby in the year of the horse. Hopefully, we all get to as well!

    I'm CD1 and officially on my 6th month of TTC. Wondering when we might have a June board for commiserating as I won't be able to POAS till the first week of June but I like the support. It's been hard seeing people come and go on the other boards even though I truly am happy for them.

    @MrsMccarthy: So sorry you are here, lady. I totally understand the feeling of seeing people come and go. Sadly, some of the girls on the 6 month plus board (umm... myself) stick around here for a while. We don't normally start the next month's POAS thread until the last week of the current month, or until all of this month's girls have peed on their sticks. Its nice for everyone to have full support, even those girls who POAS on the last day of the month. Even if you are just starting your cycle, you will still find lots of support here because there's lots of us in the similar position (umm... me, again).

    Raise your hand if you are waiting for O!!! ME! Who else??

    @Raindrop: I'm still studying the chart you posted on the last page. If DH & I have a horse baby, we both match a 5. If we have a goat baby, I match a 2 and DH matches a 9!

    @MrsMcD: I totally agree! I how this thread stays active until the very last POASer. The normal POAS thread is so big that it isn't a big deal to split it mid-month for a new thread, but this is more of a "TTC support" thread than just POAS. We joint host, we stick together until the end of the month, we all sing cumbayah...

    Let us know as soon as you are through with WTF this morning. ((hugs))

    @MrsMccarthy: I was really hoping you wouldn't be joining me here.

    @BHBEE: Where are you these days? Any updates? How are things going???

    @Marfi: How did the POASing go???? Hoping it's good news for you this morning!

    It's quiet here this morning.

    Today is O day for me. Finally! We got in O-3 and O-1 and I am going to be totally okay with that. What I am not okay with, however, is that I am starting to be in a really bad place in terms of pain. I have a lot of endo scar tissue around my left ovary and tube (which is why we are uncertain whether I can get KU when I O from the left), and the pain the last few days has been *excruciating.* There's nothing like having to BD when you are a bloated, tender mess. Even my run this morning was a disaster - I felt like every step sent a knife through my left ovary. I am just so bummed because I let myself believe that it was all going to be okay this time... that we didn't have to worry about my ticking endometriosis time bomb... but the reality is that my pain has returned and is getting worse. And there are only two ways to stop it - get KU or go back on BCP.

    @septca: I'm so sorry. I really hope that you are kU before that clock runs down. It's very sad that you lost the last pregnancy but very hopeful that you got pregnant. I will be sending you good vibes for a rainbow baby.

    In my case I am torn. I made an appointment with my OB based on wonky periods which I have been experiencing (heavy with huge ridiculous clots, cramps which are unusual for me and general yuckiness) as I may have stated here I don't have coverage for any fertility related appointments but I am tempted to bring up my concerns to my doctor and get her opinion regarding TTc, weaning and maybe see about progesterone or something that may help. I am concerned that it may be my fibroids or a cyst or polyp that are causing my issues and not hormones from breast feeding. Mostly because despite making several drastic changes in amount we nurse and other factors I haven't seen even a gradual lengthening of my LP. I'm turning 37 next month though and it's heartbreaking to think I might do so and have nothing change but I am strongly considering weaning a bit earlier than September. I vacilate a lot on this decision. It's hard. Sometimes I feel like the extra fewer months wont even matter enough to worry about it. Other times I feel like a few more months of TTC and short LP with no answers will do me in worse than the weaning. I may experiment a bit by trying to go a night here and there without nursing and see how he takes it. Everyone around me right now is pregnant or getting kU from a sneeze. I see newborns everywhere. I pray that this is just my body playing catch up and that I pregnant before next year. I pray the same for all of you especially those who 6 months seems like nothing to. This has been really hard.

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

    @MrsMccarthy: Do you have diagnostic coverage? Would it be possible for your normal doctor to run tests and see if using P or something similar would help??? (I ask because all of that would be covered under my insurance, but not a dime would be covered for IUI or IVF...)

    There is probably a snake too that I offended. Hehe I hope that's not the case! I'm sorry! I did marry a snake! Just because it's highly likely we won't get along doesn't mean snake is bad.

    @MrsMccarthy: *hugs*

    @HeartAbandoned: Haha what ever you have in sheep year will be a daddies kid!

    @septca: Sounds like great timing... sorry for all the pain...

    @Marfi: Argh. Limbo.

    I went to an office baby shower this morning. I did pretty well, considering the "you're next" and "don't hold those baby presents, you never know what will happen if you do" and the "there's something in the water here"s. UGH. WHY DO PEOPLE TALK?

  27. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

    @septca: Thanks for thinking of me! My appointment is in less than an hour. Yikes!

    @HeartAbandoned: I hope you are resting up before your upcoming BDing storm! And seriously... people are so ignorant with their pregnancy talk. But sadly, most people just don't know that pregnancy is such a sensitive topic.

    @septca: I'm so very sorry to hear about this pain you are having. I really can't imagine. Are you going to see your doctor soon?

    @Marfi: I, too, hate the limbo!!! I'm still holding out hope for you.

    @MrsMccarthy: I'm sorry you are having difficulties with your period. I'm not too sure about what my insurance covers but I have the general feeling that anything with either my general practitioner or my normal ob/gyn is covered. So I'm getting all sorts of testing done and its all covered. Issues you are describing, like ridiculous clots and cramping, are very general concerns even outside of the fertility world. Your insurance should cover all of those issues.

  28. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

    @Raindrop: I'm a snake! I live being a snake!

    @HeartAbandoned: ugh! Usually well meant but annoying!!!

    @MrsMcD: yeah it would be covered to check into normal concerns but anything related to fertility isn't so I'd have to mention it to my OB on the DL and I'm sure some things like testing progesterone or fsh would fall under that umbrella. Perhaps she can advice me though. Right now I just feel like I'm in that weird in between stage where I could be fine or I could be having an issue and I hate the mystery of it all.

    @HeartAbandoned:

    TMI alert - I am having a bit of bloody ewcm today - which, given the day, could be O spotting. Given the amount of pain I was in yesterday, and the tearing sensation I had, I am thinking this is a good sign - I really hope it means things are open enough to *have* O spotting.

  30. Raindrop

    @MrsMcD: GL on your appointment. We want details. Of course only if you want to share details.

    @HeartAbandoned: That sucks! My co-worker is going to announce her pregnancy soon... I personally know about it... but I kind of dread the announcement because I know people are going to be like "You're next!" and "Where is number 2?". Lucky for me a lot of my co-workers have huge gaps 6+ years between their kids so maybe I can get away with just saying we want a bigger gap.

  31. HeartAbandoned

    clementine / 933 posts

    @MrsMcD: FX for answers! I really hope they are able to shed some light for you! And yes, we are preparing for the BD storm to commence this weekend. We're lucky in that we're still enjoying BDing, even though it's scheduled these days. I know from the boards that that is not always the case. I'm hopeful that continues this month!

    @MrsMccarthy: I agree with the others - I'd ask your doctor about everything you're experiencing. If you'll be seeing your OB anyway, it won't hurt to ask the questions, and if he/she recommends tests or something that you don't think will be covered by your insurance, you can make a decision from there. But in the meantime, your doctor will know what's going on, and may be able to offer you some solutions that aren't TTC-specific, but will also help get that Wishing you lots of

    @septca: That sounds miserable. How long does it usually last? Do you predictably O from alternating sides? I'm sorry you're dealing with that on top of everything else.

    @Marfi: Hopeful for a clear answer sooner rather than later, but of course I'm hoping it will be a !

    @MrsMccarthy: It's totally well-meant, and I try to tell myself to take it as a compliment - that they want to see DH & I become parents because they like us and think we'd make cool kids. It worked mostly today. I was glad to have the board to come vent to, though!

    @septca: I SO hope it's O spotting!!! Come on, O!!!!

    @Raindrop: It is nice when there are others to deflect to. There is another woman there who is pregnant and due in the fall, so when someone looked at me and said, "you're next!" I was able to say, "Nope! She is!" and deflect that way. (There maybe really is something in the water, but I'm drinking from the wrong fountain, apparently!) Part of me really wants to be brave enough to shout at them "I'M ON FERTILITY MEDS AND WILL HAVE A BABY JUST AS SOON AS THEY START WORKING!" Never going to happen, but I like to day dream about it...

    @septca: hi! thanks for the note. I'm so sorry you're in so much pain, but I hope it leads to good possibilities as you mentioned.

    as for me - I am mostly trying not to think about things hence not being around as much . . . I peed on my last FRER on Sunday and then drew the line, no more testing. I wanted to get a stick where the test was darker than the control. I feel a bit icky which helps but am thankful that I have an ultrasound scheduled next Wed (the day before our movers come!), while will hopefully provide some info as to how things are progressing (I'll be a day shy of 6 weeks).
