I ran out of preseed applicators. If I wash it out well, do you think I can reuse the applicator?

@AmeliaBedelia: My LP's started out ridiculously short - 3 days. I started taking Vitex last month and they've lengthed now to 8-ish days - which is certainly better but still doesn't seem to be cutting it

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@Keppa: have you tried B6? I still haven't seen an LP without at least some spotting in the 6-8DPO range and I may kr until I fully wean but I did make it to 11DPO for full AF last month. I was taking vitex and B6. I also ovulated my usual date. I've read that vitex takes around three months to build up in your system so that could also be why is a gradual lengthening. Good luck!

@CupQuakeWalk: So sorry to hear that. Hugs!

I'm 11DPO in my mind. FF keeps waffling between O CD13 and CD20, but I really believe it was CD15, and that the progesterone is throwing things off. DH has to be up really early 4/28 and 4/29, I am going out of town 4/30, and don't want to test without DH. I'm leaning toward testing tomorrow at 12DPO since it is Sunday.

    @CupQuakeWalk: so sorry

I had a positive OPK on Thursday (CD20) and think I either o'd that same day or Friday. Either way, my doctor told me to take progesterone for 14 days, starting the day after a positive OPK.

I took my first dose last night, so my test date is May 8 if I can wait that long!

@charmed: I'll be starting progesterone tonight! Here's to the TWW!

@Crystal: Yes to reusing! I was really confused that there weren't enough applicators for the amount in the tube, and no way to buy more applicators alone. I did some internet searching and reusing seems the thing to do!

@Crystal: @Kelli_Deluxe: I think reusing is fine, but just in case you wanted extra applicators, these are on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Extra-Disposable-Applicators-12-Pack/dp/B007Z8QJYQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1398538634&sr=1-1&keywords=preseed+applicators

@Crystal: I have no idea what to think- first cycle on progesterone and my temps look good, but that could be the progesterone. It would be really nice on a few levels if this is the cycle: LMP was April fools day (kind of funny), DH could be off for a week around when the baby comes (he is opening a business so taking off for a full week is only an option around the holidays), pregnancy could probably be done in one calendar year (stupid high deductible), tax deduction. I am switching jobs this summer, and my friend swears everyone gets their BFP when they quit their job. Here is to hoping.

I hate that DH travels so much! Today is O day and we hit O-4, O-1, and O. He told me not to beat myself up about O-3 and O-2, bc unless I'm having sex with other men it's impossible when he travels silly husband! Other months we have hit O-2, and O-1, so I think it's really a crapshoot anyways! Do we need to have sex tomorrow? I felt O pains yesterday on my first peak day of clearblue fertility monitor even though fertile friend says today is O day!

@dc yoga bee: It's so hard when you try to time things and life gets in the way. Our first 12 cycles, DH was working 1.5 hours away and had an apartment near his work. We couldn't get in every day. You got in 2 of the three biggest days, which is good. It really seems to be a crapshoot. I have a friend who tried "super hard" for a few months, then one month only had sex once and now has a one-year-old. Don't beat yourself up! We're all doing the best we can.

@AmeliaBedilia: it would be great timing! FX you get your BFP this month! Did you figure out when you'll stop taking progesterone?

@dc yoga bee: thank for the tip!

You hit most of the important days, so FX this is it!

@MrsMcCarthy: Yeah, I've been doing the B6 for quite a few months now and it never seemed to make much of a difference. The Vitex definitely seems to be helping more - although we'll see what happens this month.

  33. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@Keppa: Yay! I hope it keeps building up and helps. I have also read that it's not the volume of milk but the amount of suckling that supresses ovulation or causes high prolactin. Progesterone can be a factor too. I have been considering seeing if i can go on it while nursing once a day.

@dc yoga bee: @AmeliaBedilia: I totally relate. DH is in the military and it's stressful hoping our schedules align for bd'ing. I agree, we've just got to make it work the best we can!

@dc yoga bee: I'd have sex tomorrow just to cover all your bases! We hit days similar to yours, then bd'd 2 days after as well!

Alright, I'm moving into the tww! We hit O-4, O-1, O, and after watching the great sperm race this morning O+1 for good measure lol!

I am confused. 12 DPO and BFN this morning. I didn't temp the beginning of this cycle and I almost ALWAYS O on CD15. FF is telling me it was CD13, but I don't believe that. This is my first cycle on vaginal progesterone at night. This morning I felt a little nauseous, and I'm more tired than usual (though other factors could be causing that). My BFN was with a wondfo, and I googled the batch number (W001303100-3 exp 3/2015) and some other people think it might be a bad batch.
    Here is my chart:
    http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/kg2014

I am wondering about testing with a different brand tomorrow morning, and if that is negative, then stopping the progesterone. This is so much harder because I don't want to stop the progesterone if I am pregnant, but if I'm not, let's not waste time and move on to cycle 14.

ETA: I am traveling for work and leaving the morning of 15DPO. I don't want to test without DH.

    eggplant / 11861 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: it is hard when your on that progesterone, because all of the side effects are PG side effects too, I say give it until CD16 a good solid 2 days after your AF is due, I know the waiting stinks but hold out a little longer!!!!!

  39. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: if wait it out another few days... 12dpo is still early. Are you still thinking you Od cd15?

FF is giving me dotted line crosshairs for CD15. I really hope that's not the case, otherwise our timing was awful.

I'm so confused, though. I haven't gotten a positive opk, though there was a pretty dark line on my CD15 opk (marked it negative on FF). I expected it to get darker and become positive quickly, but the line was almost gone yesterday. I didn't think I would get my first positive opk the day of ovulation. (I'm using a new brand, So trying to figure it out). Plus, I just started having fertile cm the day that FF is predicting I Od, and it hasn't stopped like it normally does after I O.

FX I get another temp rise soon so they move my O date.

@Crystal: so frustrating, isn't it? Sounds like my last cycle. The darkest OPK I got was really light. I was waiting for darker, but then temp spiked and FF declared my O day was the day I got the faint line. I was skeptical cuz I NEVER O that early, but then OPK was nonexistent after that.
I waited it out and AF came exactly 14 days after (my LP is exactly 14 days), so FF was right!

And that means from now on, I'm taking ANY OPK line to mean ovulation for me. And will BD accordingly.
But I'm going to ask my Naturopathic Doc about it on Friday. Will let u know what she says....
