@Crystal: It's just a regular dr. I go to a family practice though I will get an OBGYN when I do get KU or if my Dr recommend it before then.

@AmeliaBedilia: there are things you can do to prevent morning sickness? Tell me your secrets because nothing was able to prevent mine!

@Crystal: hooray for confirmed o!!! I really really really hope this cycle is the magic rainbow you have been waiting for. I'm doing well over here. Starting to feel a bit less melancholy and enjoying my life a bit more. Hopefully my doctor will have some good advice.

@Marfi: I hope all goes well and it's a step in the right direction.

@MrsMccarthy: I always get sad when AF starts, then feel a bit more positive as I get closer to O, so I can relate. I'm glad to hear you are feeling a little better! I hope the dr is able to give you some answers. Thanks for the well wishes, I hope it is too!
@swedishfish: lol!
@Marfi: has he/she been helpful? I hope the dr can figure out what's going on. Being in limbo is the worst.

@AmeliaBedilia: true. It'd be worth it for a BFP, so I'm sure I'll be happily dealing with whatever comes my way. I guess either was has a silver lining, but I'd rather have the BFP!
Hopefully you get your BFP this month so you don't have to worry about the conference. Are you planning on taking any time off between your new and' current jobs?
nectarine / 2192 posts
@Crystal: Yes, 2 months. DH thinks this is what we need to get a BFP. We will see.
nectarine / 2192 posts
@Crystal: The longest I have had off in the last 10 years is 1.5 weeks. I am a little worried about feeling guilty while DH works.

@AmeliaBedilia: 2 months sounds amazing!!! you deserve it.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: you deserve it, definitely don't feel guilty.
@MrsMcD: how are you doing? What's your poas date?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Crystal: Hi friend! I'm sipping wine and working. Blah. Also watching O Brother Where Art Thou? Funny fact... this movie was playing on TV when I awkwardly sat on a couch next to my future husband when we were both feeling a little anti-social at a house party. That was something like 12.5 years ago!
I'm 5dpo. AF is expected somewhere around June 3rd. I BDed O-5, O-3, O-1, O, O+1, O+3. I tried to do every other day because before I was doing just about every day and like, may as well try something different.
My sister's friend just announced today she is accidentally 3 months pregnant. She's about 42 or 43. Already has 2 kids.
A birth announcement on FB yesterday.
A friend getting married in December saying she going to start trying to get KU on her wedding night and that there's about 6 other girls planning to BD on the wedding vacay (its in Maui). She also said maybe a vacay will do the trick for me. And right then and there I silently mother f*cked myself for telling too many people that we were TTC.
Cheers to all that!!
How are you holding up?
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@MrsMcD: oh friend, that's a rough number of events all at once! Hugs.
My sisters boyfriend's brother's wife (follow all that? lol) is pregnant. She is due within 2 weeks of when I was. I just had to sit through hearing alllll about her shower and looking at all the adorable things my sister made for it. And MIL told me today I need to hurry to have babies because I'm not getting any younger. Womp womp.
Now I'm sitting on the couch sipping wine with DH and catching up on our DVR.
You had great timing! FX! I really hope you get that BFP in a few days!!!
I'm just behind you at 3DPO.
We did every day because that worked back in November. Now that my cycles have finally returned to normal, I think we'll do SMEP next month if this doesn't work.

@MrsMcD: thst all sounds fun, poor you
@Crystal: yay for O! I habe my fingers crossed that you get you bfp before you old due date. I cant imagine how hard having that looming over you must be.
pear / 1697 posts
@MrsMcD: I will believe Maui will work! I believe because it enables me to believe that a vacation to WY will get me knocked up even if the 7 cycles before the vacation don't. See, totally scientific. Also, the pregnancy dream I had last night definitely means I'm pregnant *right now* even though I'm on my period. Also totally scientific.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@MrsMcD: ugh! I'm really sorry. I never understood before how painful it was when others were gettin pregnant all around you and you had been at it for a time. Now I know. Your timing looks amazing! I hope this is it for you.
@Crystal: oh honey, your due date! How sad. I really do hope you see a BFP before it comes. I know that it won't take away the pain completely but it sure would soften the blow. Fingers crossed!
@lilyofthewest: it's very scientific! I hate that whole just relax crap as much as the next guy so I don't want to sound like I'm advocating that but I did get pregnant with my son during our long honeymoon and I do often wonder if it didn't help that I was having such a great time. That said we also had some of the most stressful days whilst there and all of them were around the very vulnerable time implantation would have occurred so it might have just been dumb luck. Either way it can't hurt!!!
I am on CD15 and waiting to O. Was hoping to O today and I do have a faint line on OPK but not near positive yet. For some reason I feel no hope at all for the cycle. Zero. I am praying that I can at least see my LP lengthen but I don't even have hope for that. I am really starting to soldier up for full weaning. I don't know why it makes me so sad to think of taking away this one 5-10 minute nursing session a night but it does. Maybe it would be easier if he wasn't so enthusiastic about it. I'm gonna continue to tweak and maybe even try skipping it a night or two and see how he does. I will also ask my doctor her opinion. I have a feeling she will also want me to wean. Might be time to start moving in that direction. At least my son is gonna be 21 months in June. I feel like we were able to have a really nice long nursing relationship.

@Crystal: I loved our long late night chat! Sorry I fell asleep before I could respond back. We were both sipping wine! I'm so glad you are in the TWW wait with me. Gees... When will you test or expect AF?
@Snowdrop: it actually was all fun! Its more funny in an ironic/pathetic way. Oh my gosh, if I was sad every time I saw or heard about pregnant people in my life, I'd have to be institutionalized! Someone said it before, but church is the best place to see lots of preggos. So true.
@lilyofthewest: Bahahahah!! You are so sweet. I haven't talked ot you much, but I am reading tons of sarcasim into your post. I hope I'm right. Seriously though.... so scientific about the trips and dreams right? Ugh..
@MrsMccarthy: I've only felt a tad bit of pain once. And it wasn't pain, but more of an adult tantrum. Like stomping my feet and crying because I'm not getting what I want. Life's funny that way. Church always helps me and reminds me that I don't get things on my time. When do you normally O? I hope you join me in the TWW soon!
pear / 1697 posts
@MrsMcD: Yes, sarcasm. I have a hard time making it through a whole sentence without any.
I chime in here occasionally even though I'm not properly in the 6mos club. But I read along here because I have a hunch that my endometriosis and I will earn full membership soon enough.
I actually hope that your finds you long, long, long before you Maui trip.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@lilyofthewest: Awww... you are sweet. I hope I don't ever see you in here, but will be selfishly happy when I do. You are mind kind of girl. I love sarcasm! What month TTC are you?
pear / 1697 posts
@MrsMcD - AF is here to ring in cycle #5 in style. Or cycle 4, depending on how I look at it. I had a long wonky cycle after getting my IUD out that experientially was one cycle for me. In hindsight, now that I have two more months of charting data to help me interpret things, it was two cycles. Heh. The little bit of spotting and pain in the middle was actually my first post-Mirena period. If only AF could've stayed like that!!

Hi Chickadees... Just catching up on all the chatter. But I also have a question about progesterone:
I'm 10dpo and on progesterone cream for first time, prescribed by my Naturopath. Dose is 20mg in morning, 20mg at night, applied to soft skin on wrists, underarms, chest, and back of knees (supposed to rotate sites).
I'm getting some pretty yucky nausea today and yesterday. (This is not normal for me in TWW.) Has anyone else had this from progesterone?
Conflicting reports online (as per usual!). One website said nausea is never a side effect, as a matter of fact, prog is a TREATMENT for morning sickness. Which gets me all excited that it might be a preg symptom. And then other sites say I should ignore ALL symptoms while using progesterone - all fake. Sigh.
SO... Wondering what your experience with progesterone has been? Would love to hear your story...
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@LIL BEAN: I'm on Endometrin vaginal inserts and a common side effect is nausea. I've never used a cream that doesn't go down below before.

@MrsMcCarthy: I know how you feel, hun. I'm only on CD6 here, and already feeling negative about this month - which just seems silly. I have my first appt to talk about how long things are taking on Wednesday and I'm nervous, but also hopeful in some ways. My son's 21 months and I'm still just not ready to give up nursing. I really hope I don't have to. Everyone keeps telling me that that's what I'm going to hear from the woman on Wednesday...and if it is, then I guess I just have to go from there. He's mostly weaned overnight (although not totally) but he still nurses 3-4 times a day. We'll see what happens Wednesday, I guess.
I can't believe how rapdily I'm closing in on a year of trying...

Just a reminder to everyone that I am putting up the new thread tomorrow! Let me know if you have suggestions for the title!
nectarine / 2192 posts
@LIL BEAN: Progesterone can cause lots of symptoms that mimic pregnancy. My head knows that symptom stalking is pointless when on progesterone. My heart keeps telling me that maybe my fatigue and sore breasts are something. So trying not to get my hopes up!
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@LIL BEAN: I was just telling my husband how unfair it is that the medications I'm on cause pregnancy symptoms so I have no clue if it's the medications or a pregnancy right now.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@LIL BEAN: agreed with everyone that it can cause all the symptoms (though I've only used vaginal progesterone). I can also confirm it is no cure-all for morning sickness I hate when drugs mess with your mind!!!

@bhbee: @swedishfish: @AmeliaBedilia: ah well... Such is life. Better to know that, though! I'd be so disappointed after getting my hopes up. Thank you, ladies.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@lilyofthewest: month 5 was actually when it really started to get hard for me. I hope you are doing well. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying you are always welcome here. I lurked on here early too because my age and my LP deficiency always made me feel like my chances were a bit slimmer than those on the other boards. I frequent both but this is the better place for me when I'm in harder times.
@Keppa: wow! We are both going Wednesday and both have sons who are 21 months or close (my son will be 21 months on June 7). Are we the same person? I know you have been at it a while longer though and I'm so sorry. All I will say is this: no matter what the OB tells you you make your own call. I kind of helped my situation by giving myself a wean by date and makin the process very gradual. I hope we both get some sound advice and better yet let's just end up KU before we even know it!
@septca: did you catch my title suggesting PINK LINES AND PINK LEMONADE: 6 month and up tcc ? An alternate would be Pink lines and Pink Champagne , Or maybe BFP or Belini: "
im trying to think of something that works for those who graduate and those who rollover.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@lilyofthewest: Wow! I hope you AF is leveling out. I hope I don't see you here next month!
@septca: Will the thread be month specific?
clementine / 794 posts
@MrsMcD: @septca: I really hope it is! Not month specific in the way it is now just month specific so it's easy to find the current one.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Marfi: Exactly! At the very least, I'd like just something new to look forward to each month.
honeydew / 7295 posts
Hmmmaybe for tracking purposes we could make it seasonal at least or perhaps we can date each one the date its created so we can find them easily?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@MrsMccarthy: So..... we do it monthly?
If we do it seasonaly, how can we say each month what cycle we are on and what we are doing different and all the other "new month" introductions?
This isn't the IF thread.... Its the exact same as the reagular PAOS thread with a smaller and, now, obviously, more senstive group of people.
But hey... just because a girl is at 6 months TTC doesn't mean she needs to join this thread.
pear / 1846 posts
@LIL BEAN: i was on 400mg pessaries (still am) and i started to feel a but off a few days after taking them. I think it was the progesterone as that was a little early for symptoms but i can't be too sure. Hoping it's a good sign.
pear / 1846 posts
I know im only a cheer leader now but I do think having a new thread regularly will make it easier to follow and for new people to join
honeydew / 7295 posts
@MrsMcD: well it wa posed to do if in parts and leave the month put but honestly I have no issue with doing the thread monthly at all. I just think the month should only indicate what month it IS instead of WHEN we are expecting BFPs that way we can have a revolving list and no rolloversand no one will ever be off the list of left out be they end of the month or beginning of the month.
