A child came down with bacterial meningitis at our daycare 
I'm waiting to hear back from the pediatrician on whether or not she needs to be seen (they wanted to know if it was viral or bacterial before making a decision, and I just got word that it was definitely bacterial).

I would imagine that they'll prescribe a dose of antibiotics (assuming your LO is old enough? Not sure if there's an age cutoff there, as my only experience with bacterial meningitis is with adults (my sister contracted it)). Very serious stuff, not something you want to delay on.

That's scary! My roommate when I was studying abroad got it, and I was scared then. I can't imagine what it would be like if my child had it.
