Which wallet does your DH use?
DH's birthday is coming up and I'll like to get him something small. He's in dire need of a new wallet!
Here are the requirements:
Slim
He puts the wallet in his back pocket
Pockets for credit cards, health insurance id, maybe a picture slot?
He very rarely keeps cash on him so a cash envelope isn't a requirement.
Simple, nothing too funky
~$50

Whenever DH's wallet wears out, I get him a new one from Fossil. If you get them from the outlets, they're typically $30-$50 and last a good length of time.

These are slightly higher than $50 but not a ton. My husband found this after much research, he was looking for something with all of the features you mentioned. Except maybe the photo slot. He got one and really likes it a lot.

@SweetiePie: oh, I like! Which one does he have? I'm liking "card sleeve" but is it annoying having to pull the sleeve out? But I guess guess primarily uses our debit card daily. So it's not like he would have to pull the sleeve out daily.
Also, does your DH find that his wallet gets gets dirty?

I bought my husband a Michael Kors one and he loves it. It's super thin, which was key.

He has the Hide & Seek wallet. He really likes it but he does carry a lot of cash on him (necessity in NYC) so it may not be the right one for your DH? He can probably do smaller like the card sleeve.
And neither of us have noticed that it gets particularly dirty. He has the exact brown color that's in the photo for Hide and Seek.

I find wallets for DH at TJMaxx. They have a ton to choose from all the time, and are just simple inexpensive and leather. The last one I got for him there was probably 5 years ago and it's still in great condition, and I think it was only $15 bucks. (It was thin, 6 card slots and one for cash.) Unless he is particular about a brand, wallets definitely don't need to be expensive to last.

@SweetiePie: I really like the look of Hide & Seek! But you're right it's more than he needs. I'm leaning towards the slim or note.
What's their exchange policy?

I bought my husband a Cole Haan wallet for a wedding gift- and it still looks brand new even though its in his pocket everyday. I got it at an outlet (shh don't tell DH) so the price wasn't too bad!
