My dr just prescribed me Metformin- he said it helps lower the threshold at which your body ovulated, and gave it to me as a TTC aid. I don't have PCOS.

Did this help anyone that doesn't have PCOS conceive? Did you have to take it in conjunction with clomid/femara? He wants me to start Metformin now, but I won't start clomid until next cycle.

Also, what side effects did you have?

I've been getting headaches and heartburn/upset stomach the past few days, and this is the only major change I've made.
