Hey Ladies! I'm a bit confused right now. I was supposed to start my period on May 28th and I started having all those menstrual cycle symptoms, but Aunt Flow never showed up. A few times I thought I was bleeding but when I'd go to the bathroom I would just have a large amount cm clear and one time like egg whites. I know tmi. I tested with a cheap 88 cent Walmart brand hpt 3 days after my missed period but it was a bfn. Aunt Flow still hasn't shown and I have no symptoms other than being thirsty and having insomnia, but I'm not sure if that's a pregnancy symptom. I only had cramps, bloating and a little right ovary pain the week I was supposed to start. Has this happened to anyone? What do you all think?

Have you only tried the one hpt? Try a FRER.

Are you sure when you ovulated?

Sounds like you are ovulating right now to me! Many women have delayed ovulation here and there and long cycles. Can you take an OPK?

@MrsMccarthy: I'm really new to all this ttc. I have two boys already and had two back to back mc's last year. My cycles became normal around January. This is my first time actually trying to get pregnant. The other times it just happened. So it's possible to ovulate that late? I've never tried opk. I think I need to cause it's all so complicated to me. I feel dumb.

@yellowbird: I don't take my temp. Honestly, I only use one of those apps where you put when your cycle starts and ends then it tells you when you should be ovulating. So it only gives the basic days 12-16 days.

@heartonastring: Yes I only took that one test. After I bought it I was thinking I should have bought a better hpt. It's called First Signal and it's dirt cheap. It's the kind where you pee in a cup and use a dropper.

@winniebee: I haven't taken another test. I'm actually scared to take another. I would be heartbroken if the second was negative. After two mc's I want to be pregnant more than ever. I'm definitely going to take one though. As far as the insomnia. I usually sleep like a baby, but recently I find it hard to get to sleep. Then I toss and turn and continuously wake up. And when I do get a second of sleep I end up having crazy dreams that freak me out.

@ChasingARainbow: there's only one way to find out! I would use a First Response Early Result test and test with first morning pee. Good luck I hope it's positive! That sounds like my typical first trimester sleep

@ChasingARainbow: I didn't get a positive on any test until I was over a week late
i was cramping and kept "checking" for AF every time I went to the bathroom. Once i even had light pink spotting and counted myself out...I finally bought a Walmart cheapy and saw two lines at 9 days past my missed period. Keep testing every other day or until AF shows up. Good luck!!!ETA: my first ultrasound showed that I was as far along as my LMP, so I ovulated on time and everything so no clue why the positive took so long

@hellocupcake: I really hope that's the same case for me. My dad is terminal with cancer (BOO cancer!) and I'd like him to see a new grandbaby sometime soon. It would bring him great joy.

@Honeygold89: I've read reviews on that hpt and it was really mixed. Some people hated it and some people loved it. I'm just going to try another test to be on the safe side.

Aunt Flow hasn't shown up either. I'm bummed, but I guess I'll continue to test until she decides to show up. Maybe weekly. I'll keep on trying till I see the Rainbow. Thanks for keeping in touch.

I completely understand what you mean about not being ready to let go. I had it in my mind my dad would love to be 100 and when he got sick it turned my world upside down. I thought I had decades left with him. Enjoy every moment and take pictures too. I thought it would hurt to have pictures of him so sick but I treasure the few I have of those last months. @ChasingARainbow: I know I'm a bit late to the game but the whole insomnia thing caught me eye, I had a bad case right from when I think implantation happened to about 4+4. before a test would be positive. You might have O'd late and it's still to early for anything to show.

@Snowdrop: Any info is helpful. Yeah, I have been having a horrible time sleeping and early this morning my legs started to spasm. Weird. I'm still living as if I was pregnant just to be on the safe side. No caffeine, no cold cuts, etc. I'll continue taking hpt's every Friday until AF shows up.

How long ago did you have watery and egg-white cervical fluid? If it was only a few days ago, you probably just ovulated and wouldn't get a positive for several more days. I'd give it until about two weeks after you noticed the fertile cervical fluid and right ovary pain, since you would be unlikely to get a positive until at least 9-10 DPO.

@badwolf: I'm going to look it up on my calendar. I started keeping track of my cm recently. I learn new things on her all the time. Makes me realize how little I actually knew about my body. So is it possible to O at different times every cycle or is it different for every women?

@ChasingARainbow: It's different. Some people are totally regular, some peoples cycles vary as to when they O.

@ChasingARainbow: have you heard of fertility friend? It's a great place to chart your CM and other fertility signs so you can compare months and keep track of everything. There's a website and an app.
Is your cycle length pretty consistent or does it vary a lot? If it varies a lot, you probably O on a different day every cycle! Then again even those with totally regular cycles can ovulate early/late the odd time.

@QBBride: never heard of it. I'm going to download the app. I'd say my cycle fluctuates between 29 and 32 days. Since my mc's last year it's been off.

@QBbride: Thank you. I'm feeling guilty now ttc. My family is going through some stuff right now. My dad is quickly losing his battle with cancer and it just seems wrong ttc right now. I'm really torn. I'm scared the stress won't do me any good either.
