I wanted to start a thread to get an update from moms of toddlers and hear how all the babies (er... toddlers) are doing! I haven't been around lately due to being busy and miss seeing/hearing the updates!
J is 23 months now - he'll be 2 in February. He is a ball of energy! He is super happy, curious, silly and all around fun. His language skills are flourishing and I love listening to him try and mimic us.
Our biggest struggle right now is that just this week he started tantrums: he throws himself on the floor so hard he'll often hit and hurt his head
My mom said the best thing is to ignore it and the stage will pass more quickly so that's what we've been doing.
How is your toddler?
She is talking NON STOP! In the car she wants to tell me everything she's seeing. Her favorite toys are her doctor kit to give me "check ups" and her kitchen to cook me "toast and ice cream". Whenever she sees a baby she says "baby! I'm a big sister!" I think she's definitely aware there is a baby on the way. Tantrums are definitely our biggest struggle but now that we have been dealing with them for a bit, I can easily ignore them and we move on quickly. I can't wait to see her interact with the new baby
walks like a champ, is getting pickier about food, and yes, throws her food while giving me a dead eye stare, lol. Loves books and doing what we are doing and I feel guilty because I WOH and don't feel like I have time to include her in all the evening chores (at some point I just have to get dinner and laundry done!) She would live outside if she could and loves 'swimming' in the tub. no tantrums for metantrums ,yet, really but she likes to cover her face dramatically and go to the ground to show ththat she is sad.
