Hey guys the month that you finally got your BFP was there anything that you did different??

We stopped trying, ironically!

Not really, though I drank less in the TWW (not that I drank a lot before in the TWW). But we were only really trying for two cycles, so I doubt it was anything we did differently.

Used the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor + Pre-Seed!

I stopped obsessing and was focusing on a new job across country! That, of course, was our month after 7/8 months of trying!

We used preseed. While it gave me one nasty yeast infection (despite all my efforts to avoid one) it also resulted in this little dumpling that's been growing inside me for the last 20 weeks. Worth it

I had acupuncture two weeks before the BFP.
Other than that, was NTNP, like we had been for the previous year. -
I used the clearblue digital opk's. Not sure if that made the difference though, because I got the same O date through temping!

Things that might've helped:
- Using Pre-Seed
- NOT using other lubrication (including saliva)
- Propping a pillow under my hips and my feet against the wall after
- Actually having FUN sex BEFORE I thought I was ovulating, just for the fun of itThings I did that probably didn't matter:
- Praying to a Fertility Goddess and lighting a candle for fertility
- Meditating after sex and envisioning Hubs sperm meeting my egg
- Meditating the days after ovulation, envisioning that Hubs sperm met my egg and things started developing -
Oh I forgot-- I did put my legs up for a few minutes afterwards every time. Not like 20 minutes, not even with a pillow, but just a few minutes with them in the air.
I also gave the sperm and egg mental pep talks but I don' think that helped

We did it the old fashioned way. We got drunk.
This was just after we decided to hold off trying for a few months. We were so early in my window I figured there was no way in heck we'd conceive. LO is now 4.5 months old. -
Oh, I had also taken soy isoflavones that month and the month before

I stopped charting, and we were BD-ing every other day like clockwork

I laid on my tummy after (instead of elevating my hips). I just found out I had an inverted uterus and read somewhere it was supposed to help. Not sure if that's really what it was though.

I stated exercising daily and popped a pillow under my bum after BDing.

We decided not to try for awhile and also stopped charting out of laziness. BAM! Surprise BFP.

@Cherrybee: Oh, good call! I also started exercising regularly 3 times a week at the gym!

both months I got BFP's DH and I had a spoonful of royal jelly in the morning until a few days after ovulation. Also for this one I stayed on my anti-depressants the whole time and for two months prior. I had weaned off them before in anticipation for TTC but realized without them I went through to much distress to handle BFN's let alone a pregnancy.

The only thing I did different was made home brewed green tea iced tea.

We stopped trying. I got bombed off of sangria at my friends bday and that was the night we conceived. Crazy how many people told me to relax and the advice always pissed me off, but they were right.

We BD'd every other day during fertile week and both days when I had EWCM, plus it was the first (and only) month we used Pre-Seed. I'm not sure if the Pre-Seed did it, but it turned out to be our month and I'm now about six weeks along!

I know every TTCer hates hearing this but I let go. The month I got the BFP was the first time I just let go and not stress about it.

We gave up ... we were starting fertility testing. I got my BFP the morning I was supposed to go in for my HSG!

I used OPKs and I temped...BD'ed every day for the week leading up to ovulation and then the day after!

had my first IUI.

Relaxed. No more laying there with my knees up, no more doing it every day even if I didn't want to.

@junebugmama: I hated that too, so much. There is a biological basis in it, though. Animals under stress from resource competition are less fertile. And it does seem to play out that way in humans, not infrequently.
That being said, no one should ever scold you for 'trying too hard'. I'm still not over my anger at the person who told me that. Who (of course) got his wife pregnant on the first try. I'd kind of still like to punch him.

We got pregnant the second month of trying, so i don't know if it was really anything different but this is what I did: sex 8 days in a row, 6 or so days before I expected ovulation and 2 days after, stayed laying down after sex, preseed lube, I took a baby aspirin everyday during ovulation week, ate fresh pineapple, took lots of naps, took prenatal vitamins....

Two days of sex, one day off, two days of sex, one day off. The month prior to that we just had sex all the time.

I was getting to the point where all of you were.. Fed up and weirdly enough did last month and scheduled a consultation with my obgyn to discuss next steps... Two days ago we got our BFP!!! I got to call and change our appointment:). Went on a cruise and added copious amounts of alcohol to the mix as many of you indicated!!

@SouthPaw: congrats on your BFP! The only thing we did differently was BD 4 and 3 days before O, and then twice on O day.
