This is kind of a weird suggestion but I recently watched a documentary called The Barkley Marathons about this crazy distance trail race in Tennessee. I stumbled on it randomly and was totally hooked.

@regberadaisy: Any particular mood that you're in? I have a whole slew of tried and true Netflix movies for almost any occasion

@Mrs. Grizzly Bear: it's super tiny - only about 50 people a year, you have to apply. It's basically 5 consecutive marathons run back to back, time limit of 60 hours, through Frozen Head State Park, through crazily wooded hills. Only something like 15 people have finished it in 30 years.

@erinbaderin: I walked in on DH watching that and he was so hooked he'd put his phone down to focus on just the tv. I stayed for a few minutes and realized I needed to watch from the beginning. It's bizarrely entrancing!

Netflix just added Pleasantville and The Truman Show and Save the Last Dance.
