So, DH left today for a 3 week trip so it's just C and I. I always love to watch tons of movies he would make fun of me for watching if he were here. I need some idea!
What are your go-to chick movies? Just please don't say Twilight... Just.... no.

Pride and Predjudice, the Colin Firth one! It's long, but so good! Any Nicolas Sparks book/movie. Moulin Rouge, haha.

@ZIPPYLEF do you have netflix? I love filtering by RomCom and watching all the cheesy ones while DH is on travel.
Last night we watched "the switch" - it's with Jennifer Anniston and Jason Bateman (i think both of those names are spelled wrong but i don't feel like googling it right now) And Jennifer wants to have a baby and finds a sperm donor and Jason switches his sperm so the baby ends up being his.
Also, for long periods away I really like TV shows instead of movies.... they last longer. I've watched all of the teen moms, pretty little liars, parenthood, sons of anarchy, house of cards, etc.
And, i know you live in the UK, what about Top Gear? My DH is obsessed and secretly I love it too, even though I don't care about cars - it's hilarious

One of the most depressing movies ever, but I watched Blue Valentine once when my husband was gone. I was glad he wasn't there because I was a sobbing, ridiculous mess.

Bridesmaids! I think that movie is hilarious. I also love When Harry Met Sally, an oldie but a goody. And the original Sex and the City movie!

I cry my eyes out every time I watch Beaches. If you want a sob fest, go for that one!!
For cheesy chick flicks, I love How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. I love Sliding Doors as well! I must have seen both about a million times!

I like pretty much anything with a Fiennes brother in it. Shakespeare in Love, The English Patient, The End of the Affair--all good. And old...I haven't seen a whole movie in a while!
If you're into period pieces, The Importance of Being Earnest (the one with Reese Witherspoon) is fun.
Other movies I'd watch over and over: Legally Blonde, Clueless, and Ten Things I Hate About You. And Notting Hill, which I've seen more times than I'd care to admit.
