I've heard/read that it's possible to lose your plug and not notice, or have it come out in little amounts, or have it come out all at once/in a big chunk. I'm just wondering what's most common.

With my first it came out it little bits and pieces. With my second it came out in little amounts a few weeks early and then at 39 weeks, it came out in huge chunks. It was super gross.

Pretty much the same as @travellingbee: with my first it came out in little pieces and with my second it was huge chunks and one unbelievably large glob

Pieces, over a two week period...I am sure I flat out missed some of it...

With my first I lost chunks for a week or two and then one massive glob the night before my water broke. This time I've noticed for the last weeks that I'm losing chunks again that look like globs of snot.

Mine came out in one big glob when I was in labor with my first. It came out at 40 weeks with my second but I still carried until my induction at 42 weeks...grrr!

With LO1 I lost it all at once. With LO2, I lost pieces over the last two weeks. It was obvious though.

I voted for 2, pieces and a big glob. Pieces for a day or so, then the next day I had 1-2 big globs!

One big glob when my water broke. It literally felt like it was the cork keeping my water in and gushed out with great force. Sorry if TMI, but I was in the tub so it was very easy to see.

I lost mine in 1 big piece ... But I was laboring on the toilet before that, and DH told the midwife he thought something was wrong (I think it was my MP starting to come out).

With my first it all came out at once and it was giant. I was horrified by the size, shape, and consistency. I swear it was like a roll of pennies. With my second I had one larger glob, and then continued to lose pieces over the next week or two until my water broke.

Big glob... I was actually at the doctor's office for my 40 week appointment and attempting to pee in a cup when I wiped and saw it. Was really excited and told the doctor only to be met with..."Well, labor can start 2-3 weeks after you lose your plug."
