If you want to temp they now have several wearable thermometers that only require 3 hours of consecutive sleep. Ava and temp drop are both ones I know ladies on here use (my current pregnancy is an Ava baby)

@bees_knees: I've always heard and read 24-48 hours after first positive as well. But @Kaohinani: reads pretty much everything so perhaps there's new research I haven't seen

@bees_knees: @MamaBear87: According to various scholarly (lab) studies, the range is larger than previously assumed which places ovulation between 8 hours as the earliest and 48 as the absolute latest for slow traveling ovum. I, myself, ovulate between 12 and 18 hours post my darkest LH strip and it has been proven through both U/S and tests on my LH, E2, and P4.
Keep in mind ovum only survive for around 24 hours unless fertilized; however, from the start of the surge to the follicle releasing an ovum counts, as well as, from the point that it begins it's travels, and ANY viable spermies in the "area" (from O-5 in lab studies to O+1) can possibly fertilize the egg.

@Ms. RV: So, knowing Thursday was your darkest OPK, using the average of 12-36 hours post positive, you may have OVed anywhere from late Thursday evening (if you took your test early afternoon) to Saturday morning. P.S., Valentine's Day BD-ing is so romantic!

I took OPKs and temped for 2 cycles and had 2 days of positive OPKs both times. My darkest OPKs were the afternoon of the first. My temp rise was 3 days after the day of my first pos/darkest but I do think I might have a slow temp rise after O. So my guess is I ovulated appx 36 hours after the darkest pos, and as the tests were getting lighter.

@Ms. RV: Heck, if Saturday's is nearly equally positive and you & DH are TTC, BD tonight as well! You will have the V.Day spermies waiting and a new fresh batch coming ... Statically, you would have better than a 20% chance if DH's swimmers are strong and you do not have any reproductive issues (* PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, primary or secondary infertility, polyps, clogged tubes, etc).
