Hello,
My baby is now 8 months old. At his 6 month check up he was over 28 lbs and over 28 inches. He has a convertible car seat and he seems to feel uncomfortable. We have adjusted it as much as we can. He often whines and cries. I want to find him another one. Any recommendations for a car seat for chubby babies?

We have this car seat. LO is 14 months, we switched over when LO was around 6 months.... so far she seems to love it.

We have a Britax Boulevard and a Graco MyRide. I would really test out other seats with him in them!

I can't believe he's 8 months already.
DS was also over 28 inches at his 6 months appointment (although he weighs less than D). We have the Britax Advocate 70, and he seems ok in there. One thing I noticed, though, is that the car seat you have looks like it has an additional pillow? The Britax we have also came with an additional detachable pillow (it kinda supports his back/torso and wraps around the sides a bit). When we switched DS over to his convertible seat, he started crying and being cranky about getting in his seat. Once I removed the pillow, though, he went back to his normal happy self. If the pillow on your seat detaches, you might try that first, since it could be uncomfortable for him.

Britax Marathon here... but I can't believe he's 28 lbs! He weighs more than my 2 year old

Thanks everyone. My husband took the car seat out and brought it in the house. He figured out that he wasn't adjusting it right. lol Now our baby is comfy. I will try to remove the pillows too.
