I shouldn't complain because her night sleep is awesome, but Sadie has perfected the art of the cat nap. She will sleep 8:30p-7:30a, and then 8a-10:30a, but then the rest of the day is 45 minute TOPS. I mean 45 minutes is a great nap. They're almost always closer to 20 minutes. She doesn't fuss or anything... she's just ready to be awake and play. She's all about the playtime. If she's in her crib she'll just stare at the camera and reach for it until I go get her, and if she's in the swing she plays with her hands for 10 minutes. I'm lucky if I can manage to shower, get ready, & load the dishwasher every day. Let's not even talk about the last time I dusted or vacuumed.
Babycenter lies. They told me that sometime before 12 weeks my baby would transition from lots of little naps to 2 or 3 long naps. Untrue. When did your baby transition from several cat naps to fewer longer naps?
Here she is having a ball in her crib this weekend after a whopping 21 minute nap (I tried swaddling her for her nap to see if she would sleep longer. The answer is no.)...
