This was totally me at a rehearsal dinner on Friday. I was out a couple of hours past C's bedtime but there was nowhere to pump, so I waited until I got home. By the end I was like, guys, I'd love to stay, but the girls gotta go...

I just burst out laughing in my office. This is definitely my life right now. I miss my friends, I miss eating out after work, and I miss the occasional mixed drink.

This reminds me of the first concert we went to after C was born-- she must've been 3 months old. We went to the Hollywood Bowl and there wasn't anywhere for me to pump (unless you counted the restrooms, which were ALWAYS packed) and I didn't want to lug my giant double electric up to the nosebleeds. By the time the concert ended (we had gotten there early to picnic, too), they were ROCK HARD. Then I had to drive home for an hour (my arms were all awkward because my boobs hurt so much!) and by the time I got ready to pump and took off my shirt, my nursing pads were SOAKED and milk literally sprayed everywhere. Not a fine mist, but like a machine gun. It was horrible!
This summer, I'll be bringing a manual pump for the restrooms (prob just pump and dump so I can drink some wine) and then leave the big boy in the car so I can pump before driving home.

Lol! So many times I have used my breasts to tell me what time it was.
I remember being mid-grocery trip and it would hit, and I'd be making a B line to the express checkout lane.

LOL I remember a wedding we attended where I pumped before the ceremony and by 3 hours later, during the reception, my dress was about to bust from the engorgement. I ended up going to the bathroom and hand expressed just for relief!!! DH thought it was hilarious when I came back 10 minutes later and told him what I had to do.

LOVE this! And I have totally ditched out on events because of this or had to leave early to go pump, so I can totally relate! So glad to be on the other side now!

@habesbabe - I bought a manual pump just for this one concert we were going to at the Bowl when DD was just a few months old. I'd run to the bathroom, pump for a couple minutes, then run back out.
