Argghhh it is so frustrating, two weeks to go until I'm eligible for an upgrade. Not sure I can handle being iPhoneless for two weeks...and I'm mad at myself for not doing a backup in the last 3 months, but that won't help bc I just converted to a Mac when my pc died and didn't do a backup, so at least I'll have outdated contacts from a year ago in my iCloud. Argh so annoying!

oh no! are you sure it's dead? have you tried a reset? i thought mine was dead and when i did a reset it came back on & was fine.

@mrs. bird: officially dead, tried charging it and nothing. It's been acting up for a month and today was the day it decided it didn't want to work anymore!

My phone is on it's last leg too & we just can't upgrade it right now... I CAN "downgrade" to a lower storage limit but I really don't want to AND since I never checked to do wireless back up I can't even back it up b/c it's fried all but one of my charging cords! Grrrr!

@lavender: I'm not an iphone person but any chance you could take it into one of the stores and they could access it and back it up for you? DH's android got dunked and was pretty much dead but we were able to revive it for long enough to pull the data from the memory.

@lavender: call me the eternal optimist, but just to be sure it's dead try the hard reset, mine wouldn't show it was charging either when i'd plug it in, i'm still hopeful you can limp it through for two more weeks! hold the top button and the home button for like 30seconds and see if anything happens.

I agree with seeing if they'll upgrade you early! Usually if it's a few weeks they'll agree to do it.
