After almost 3 years, the screen just stopped working. DH's didn't even last that long. If your Kindle stopped working did you get a new one? Which model?

I had a Kindle keyboard for years (it was still fine when I replaced it. I gave it to a friend) before getting my Paperwhite... I love it!! Comes highly recommend from me.

Mines starting to be funny when trying to charge it. I've got my eye on a Kindle fire. Hopefully thats what Santa will bring for Christmas

I have a Kindle Fire and the charging port is weird and I have to prop it up just right to get it to charge. I don't really want to upgrade it, cause it was my dad's old kf before he got an ipad and DS uses it more than I do.

Don't get a kindle Fire. If you want a tablet, get a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, or something similar. Much more bang for your buck and you can still read Amazon books on it.
If you want an e-reader (with e-ink, much easier on the eyes if you read a lot) get the Paperwhite.

I LOVE my Kindle. If it ever died or I broke it, I would replace it. I also have a Nexus 7 which I love but that is for tablet play, the Kindle is just for reading. I love how light and small it is!!!

Ack! I love my kindle. My dog stepped on mine (it was about 3 years old) and the screen went blank with black lines down the middle. I replaced it with a new model. They've since come out with even newer ones but mine works so well I can't bring myself to buy the new one yet.

I love my kindle fire. Have you tried a hard reboot? Hold the power button until it restarts. I've had to do that a couple of times and it was because the screen wouldn't turn on.

Mine did the same thing a couple of months ago (I had mine for four years I think?) and I got the Paperwhite as a replacement. I really like it, but the touch screen takes some getting used to.
