I'm right there with you. 99% of my friends are SAHM's. I'm in the minority working full time

P.S. I'm guessing you're in media. I am as well. I'm a local broadcast buyer/supervisor.

@mediagirl: maybe you can utilize them for school drop offs and pick ups in the future? Are their kids the same age?

@mediagirl: most people here are WOHM with flexible schedules.

I only have a few mom friends and they are all teachers! One just had a baby and I think she is taking a whole year off. But the others work full time.

I actually only know 1 SAHM (my boss's wife). All of my friends are WOHM's, except 1 who works from home.

Most of my mommy friends are WOHM/ WAHM. I can't relate to the baby/kid part yet, but we definitely vibe on other stuff.

All but one of my friends are WOHM, but I do know that the one friend feels "different" because we are always talking about balance and our jobs and she doesn't know how to contribute.

Most of my friends are working moms. My sister is a mostly SAHM although she works two nights a week. We don't really have trouble relating to each other because we understand each other's situations so well. She helps me out in childcare emergencies and I wish I could do something like that for her.

@mediagirl: One of my friends joined a "working moms" play group and over the course of a year all the moms quit their jobs except her!

I do have some working mom friends, but it definitely feels like most moms stay home or work very limited hours.

All my friends are every which way. I know mostly WOH parents, but I know a few SAH, I know some part timers in and out of the house. I know SAH dads and WAH dads that do most of the pick up and drop offs. I have friends that don’t have kids yet and friends that never want to have kids. Friends that are single and friends that are divorce.

I think there is a reason you are friends with someone and you will always have that common ground so however their life (or yours) changes you can still connect with them.

Most of my mom friends stay at home- but that's not a coincidence since we mostly met after babies so sought out other friends to spend time with during the day. I have some wohm friends and I don't feel like we can't relate to each other, it's just that our schedules are really different so it's harder to get together often.

Opposite! I'm a SAHM (for now) and I don't know a single other mom friend that doesn't work full time.

My local friends are all SAHMs because I met them when we moved and they all did meet ups! My other mom friends all work in some capacity whether WAH, WOH, PT or FT

The only SAHMs I know are ones I met through a moms club. All of my pre-kid friends work.

I'm SAHM and have the opposite issue! All my SAHM friends have recently either returned to work or moved away. It's hard! Especially when some of the ones who go back to work start harping on about how looking back, they hated staying at home full time...makes it even harder for me to relate I find being at home awesome for so many reasons, but also the hardest thing in other ways.
