Our keurig we had for 7 years stopped working in November. I bought a new keurig and it has totally crapped out on us! We are looking for a new solution but not a regular drip coffee pot. Suggestions? Unfortunately we have a ton of cups to boot.

It seemed like you were happy with the Keurig, so I would assume that the new one you got was defective and try to exchange it - it shouldn't stop working after a few months! And if the store won't take it back I would buy a new one, wait a week, then return the old one on the new receipt.

Have you tried calling Keurig directly? We had problems with one machine we bought a few months in and they replaced it completely for free no questions asked (and I didn't have the receipt from the purchase or anything).
I only use Keurig or a French press so no solutions to suggest beyond those two options.

We love our French press.
I don't personally like Keurig coffee that much though.

I would probably call and try to exchange it first, but if that doesn't work, we really love our Nespresso! We've had it for almost 3 years and have never had an issue with it. The pods are a little pricey but I think the coffee is way better than the Keurig (we had one before this).

@matador84: Where did you buy the new Keurig? I'd call the store and see what they will do for you. I know Bed Bath and Beyond would just give you a new one and take back your old one per their policy. If the store won't take it back, I'd call Keurig and see what they can do for you.

Call Keurig! We had one that stopped working after a few months. The call center walked me through a basic troubleshooting and then sent me a new one. They have a 1 year warranty.

Will try calling keurig customer service. I see didn’t keep receipt on it so doubt target would take it back now.

Keurig has excellent customer service, I would call and see what they can do.

@matador84: target has looked up items I purchased using my debit card for a return before. But i would probably start by calling Keurig!

I would call keurig if you’re otherwise happy with it.
But we recently replaced ours with a Nespresso and are very very happy with it. It does taste a lot richer/stronger so it might take some getting used to. But we think it’s way better.

If you used a card to make your purchase at Target and you physically have the card with you, Target can use it to look up the transaction. I do this all the time and never bother to save my receipts from them any more. They may also take it back and do merchandise credit, if say you paid cash and gave no receipt. It's definitely worth a try.
We have the Bella brewer from Target. It takes k cups and comes with a filter to do loose coffee grounds, too. We've had it for 3 years and the thing works like a champ. Not bad for a $30 holiday purchase!

@helloperidot: @SweetiePie: @jhd: y’all I had no idea they can do that! I will bring it up this week. I don’t have the box it came in or anything though?

French Press!
Personally not a fan of keurig (not strong enough for
me, wasteful pod packaging and I'm neurotic about heating any food with plastics), BUT I do have friends who swear by Nespresso.

@matador84: I don’t know if I have ever returned something that came in a box. You could try or maybe call and ask before you go in store? I have never had any trouble returning things there. I guess it depends what you think will be easier!

I'm a Nespresso addict, mostly because their decaf is really good. I've been a Nespresso drinker for 10+ years! The only times I have had to replace machines is when I've moved internationally to avoid voltage issues. My last machine lasted more than 5 years, and I only got rid of it because we were moving overseas. Customer service is also excellent.

Definitely call Keurig because our office machine just died and my colleague called and they sent us the best machine they make for free. He wasn't even the original purchaser or anything! Super good customer service.
That being said, we are nespresso fans at home! We have the new machine that makes both coffee and espresso.
