My husband has always been a loud talker. It's something I came to terms with when I agreed to marry him. Often his family will be downstairs "talking" and to someone upstairs it might sound like they are yelling at each other.

We've compromised a lot over the years about this, until we got to a good homeostasis with things after LJ's birth. That homeostasis is now totally disrupted with the addition of Jack Jack.

I can hear LJ and Mr. Jacks screaming in the yard, in the street, not even close to the house while I'm upstairs with the baby. The simplest "Please, sit down" is pretty much shouted (though not with a yelling intent). Now I notice that LJ is doing it too. She bellows almost everything she says these days

I've talked to Mr. Jacks about it and his response was, "Well, you knew this when you married me." And then, "I'll work on it, but it's not going to change in a day".

So I'm at my wits end. I find myself being quieter and quieter as they get louder and louder. I know my neighbors can't be that happy about it either.

Should I just consider it one of those quirky endearing things or is there really some room to get some more quiet into our lives? The noise is driving me crazy!
