I have one, why are you leaning towards a Nespresso?

We have Citiz and milk. I gave my dad a limited edition machine more than 10 years ago and it is still going strong, despite heavy duty daily use.

My husband chose it because the milk frother is separate. He's very picky about coffee and as long as he remembers to order the pods, we've never had an issue.

@ValentineMommy: ok fair enough. I hate their customer service and shipping policies - plus I am not a huge fan of their coffee.

So we have one (Citiz and an Aeroccino) and love the functionality of both. I will say, on work days I rarely, if ever, make a Nespresso coffee - defaulting to my Keurig for simplicity in my jammed morning. The aeroccino works best with 2% milk I have found and really needs to be cleaned after each use well. I also clean my Nespresso after each use as I had issues with my last one developing a "smell" of sorts.

We have a Latissima, and I use it every day. It's about 4 years old now and works perfectly. I probably drink 3-4 capsules a day. I mostly drink decaf and I think Nespresso makes the best tasting decaf. I live near a boutique so I can drop off the used capsules for recycling. I probably wouldn't use it if I couldn't recycle the capsules.

We have a Nespresso Citiz and the milk frother. I used to be obsessed with it, but coffee grosses me out during pregnancy so its been sitting idle for a long time now. No issues with maintenance or customer service on my end. Ours is about 5 years old.

@AprilFool: I have had mine for about 10 years, am on my second machine...so I guess over that much time it is expected they will ruffle some feathers. I've had boxes not delivered (or stolen perhaps?) twice - both times it was quite difficult to get them to replace the lost box. Their pods are quite expensive...so it was not a shipment I was willing to eat the cost of.

When my old machine started having some issues they offered no help, and instead suggested it was time I upgraded anyways. Its just people, not the company - but not how I like to be treated by a company I have given so much money to.

I know nothing about coffee other than I love lattes, and have been digging cappuccinos lately. Nespressos are 30% off plus $20 in coffee credit at Williams Sonoma. DH ordered me this one in red. I saw the box 🤗 Whoops! I overheard FIL saying he thought it was expensive to keep requiring pods, but DH reasoned you have to buy coffee anyways and when you like fancy drinks it's cheaper than the Starbucks charge he's tired of seeing a few times a week lol. It came with the frother.

@twodoghouse: I have the same one with the milk frother and love it! Hardly ever go to Starbucks anymore. Amazon has pretty good package deals.

I've had the Latissima for a few years and I love it. I really only do steamed milk in the winter, but love that I have the option easily whenever. I also like that you can control the froth level because I don't like much froth but my BFF loves all the froth. There are Nespresso flavors I love and some not so much. I got a sleeve of everything to start to find my favorites. Its definitely not as cheap as my old coffee maker but I love it.
