We've been wanting to create a forum for the post-toddler age group... when I posted about it a while ago, Mrs. Wagon, Honeybee and a few others suggested "preschooler." (Thanks guys!)
I was worried a bit that people might think the forum has to do with preschool (when the goal is for it to focus on preschool aged kids)... but let's go ahead and try it and see how it goes!

@mrbee: I would... Since my DD will be elementary age as of this summer and I would have already outgrown the new preschooler board at that point.
Eta but of course very excited about the preschooler board! So what age is a preschooler again?

T-Mom: In terms of ages, preschooler is meant to be for kids roughly around 3-5 years old... covering the time period between Toddler and starting school (aka School-aged kids).
If these boards take off, we will keep them around! If not, maybe we'll absorb them back into general Parenting...

Obv I don't have a preschooler yet since LO is still "cooking" but I love that there will be a place for me to post and read about her when she is that age! I wasn't sure what I was going to do when she was no longer a toddler!

Thank you! I have been thinking that DD really isn't a toddler anymore. Sometimes I've been hesitant to post my "older kid" questions for fear that they would be lost in the shuffle so I am excited for the new boards!

Excited for the new board! But I do have a question.... what makes a kid preschool age? Some kids start preschool pretty early now, but my LO won't start until she's a little older. I want to know when I should start posting on that board instead of toddler!

Excited since we now have a preschooler in our house. I think naming the board "preschooler" and not "preschool" as you have done should help people from getting confused on the topic.

Yikes pretty soon I can even post to school aged. Next year I will have a TK kid and two in preschool. Yikes!

I have one kindergartener & one grade 3er. I'd definitely use the boards as much as I can. Unfortunately, we don't have the boys full time so I'd be using them as a part-time parent.
