A few minutes ago, Lala said, "Mama, let's talk about Africa" I said, "Ok, what do you want to talk about from Africa?" She said she didn't know, so I said, "You know mama used to live in Africa right?" She said, "Oh yeah!" I said, "I used to live in Uganda."
At that point, she said, "Mama, You-used to ganda... but I wanna Ganda."
It was kind of adorable and typical of her kind of word play

@Mrs. Jacks: so cute! and i've never had that dream about teeth, but i used to have frequent dreams that my mouth was filled with metal parts that i couldn't get rid of. trauma from braces, i tell you.
cb talks to our dog a lot, since she's really the only one in the house that can be bossed around by the 3 year old. cb's chore is to feed piper, and she gets quite excited about it. the other day he told her, "pipey, you have to wait! you have to be patient. i have to help you because you don't have arms, girl!"

So I love these precious laughs! Tonight my nursing 21 month old couldn't find her way and she struggled with my shirt saying, Milk, where are you??

@808love: Milk hide and seek! I wish there was an easy way to wean. I had a friend who was successful with telling her toddler that her breasts were "owie", but she was pregnant with #2 at the time. We just cut Lala down to a few short minutes on each side and only at bedtime. Then we transitioned to "say goodnight to the boodie" (what she calls it) and she'd give a snuggle and a kiss. She still does this every night... So I'm definitely not the best person to ask!

The other day we were in the car and WJ asked to listen to music. We turned it on and he said "make it louder please". Then as we were hesitating to turn up the volume, he said "Baby Jodie not here, we can make it louder."

After her bath, DD likes to lay down on her towel and I wrap her up in it. The other day I wrapped her up and said "you're as snug as a bug in a rug". She freaked out, jumped up and said "Noooooooo! I am not stuck in the mud!!!!!!!!!!!"

I LOVE these threads! All our kids are so cute (and smart!).
Lately, when DD sees something that small or little, she talks to it in this really high-pitched voice ("Momma, look! It's so little!"). The other day we were driving in the car and I heard her toot. I looked in the rearview mirror and asked, "What was that?" And in her high-pitched voice she uses for babies and animals and other little things she said, "Momma it was a tiny toot! Oh, it's so cute and little!" I was laughing so hard I started crying.

Oh another one... I took WJ to the pediatrician to get his ear wax taken out. One side was completely blocked 
He of course freaked out but overall did great. The doctor uses this tiny plastic stick with a little scoop on the end of it. We got a TON of wax out. As he was eating his lollipop and I was strapping him into the carseat, I asked "What did the doctor do?" he said "The doctor put a shovel in my ear!"

He had complained about ear pain a time or two in the past, and he's had this done before (they couldn't see into the ear canal when they checked his ears during a checkup). I'd seen some wax coming out of one ear so I knew it was about time to go again! The weird thing is, the ear that the wax was coming out of was not bad (just one big piece). The other ear was completely blocked and she took out ribbons and ribbons and ribbons of wax. It was SO gross and I'm so so happy we went.

My son was talking on the phone with my sister the other day and he told her, "When I was little, when I eat and poo poo, I grow big!" That's one of many funny things he says every day. I love it! Cracks me up!

TG has started saying "how dare you!" In this crazy disdainful tone. I blame her father, but it's pretty funny. She also follows us around saying "whatcha doin' little girl?" Which is pretty funny, especially when it's a grown man.
