Hmm, I had to order mine within a month of R's birth. It probably depends on the insurance company and specific plan.

Have you looked one craigslist? My insurance company gives out manual pumps to fulfill the insurance requirement but everyone that pumps buys a double electric. As a result there are a ton of new in bow manual pumps on craigslist for almost nothing. Might be an option if your new insurance company doesn't cover a pump.

I got a second one! I called and ordered it, and the only hiccup I had was they didn't realize my plan year restarts in September, not January, so at first they refused. Once I said it was a new plan year, I had zero problems getting a second one. It was so helpful to have one at work and one at home! Definitely call to see if they'll get you one!

I called and I can get a manual for free AFTER delivery (so at least I know to take that off my registry.

I can also order another electric if I want as long as it's through a DMEP. I pay full price, but it all goes toward my deductible/OOP max of $1800, which I'll well hit during delivery anyway. So mama's going uptown this week and getting me a Freestyle! LOL.
