Looking for some thoughts on what you would do here...DD2 is three weeks old and has started having a hard time staying asleep at night once we put her down. She seems to hate, yet desperately need, the swaddle. I've tried the swaddle me, halo, woombie, and love to dream and haven't found one that she stays content in. I've tried keeping her arms out as well but she wakes herself up immediately. After an initial fight, she'll fall asleep on us, but it doesn't take long after laying her down for her to wake up and cry trying to fight her swaddle.

She sleeps okay during the day in the RNP (after I transfer her there already asleep) or in the carseat while out and about, but the crib or bassinet has become a challenge.

Also, ideally I'd prefer for her to be in her room at night rather than ours. (I know this isn't for everyone, but there are a few reasons why I think it works best for us.) I think we have a few different options to choose between and I'm curious to know what you would do (or if you have other suggestions as well). I'm trying to decide if we should...

(1) Try the RNP at night in either her room or ours and see if she stays asleep there. (Even though we might have a harder time transitioning her out of it later.)

(2) Suck it up and commit to the swaddle and crib with the hopes that it will get better soon. When in her crib, we've been using the PNP newborn napper set in there to try and keep her feeling cozy, but would likely switch to the towel nest under the sheets if we stick w/ the crib.

(3) Move her back to the pack and play bassinet (swaddled) in our room where she spent the first couple weeks and see how she does there.

(4) Explore other swaddle options??? I can't think of anything left to try.
