I had my consultation with the RE today. He confirmed that everything was normal with both mine and DH's tests. Basically said we have unexplained IF, simply that there's likely a cause but we can't figure it out. When he went into the pregnancy odds though, that got a bit depressing...

So the next steps are Clomid or Letrozole with IUI, I asked about medication with TI and he didn't recommend it. So they would do blood work and an ultrasound on CD1 then Clomid/Letrozole for 5 days, starting on CD3. He said something else about another ultrasound around CD10-12 but I don't remember why? I usually O around CD20 but he said the medication could likely make me O earlier. Is that why I would have an ultrasound around CD10-12? He also said something about a Ovidrel shot to trigger?

I wrote all that down but it makes NO sense to me! Can someone explain all this to me in English?! What do all these meds do? When is the IUI done versus when do we have sex? How long does the IUI take? Can I sneak all this past work or do/will they need to know? I know all appointments are best done in the morning (7:00 a.m. or after) since they send blood/tests out around 9:30 a.m.
