My son started to soak through his diapers at night, so we moved up a size in the Pampers Baby Dry, and we use an insert. He is a stomach sleeper, and every morning, the tabs have almost twisted off and slide down, and he is soaked again!
He rolls around a lot in his sleep, but this is ridiculous. I try to pull the tabs as tight as I can before putting him down and point his penis down, but nothing is working. For the sake of not doing anymore laundry than necessary, any help appreciated!

We use pampers overnights (we haven't had to go up a size, but that might help). I think they are called "extra protection".

Honestlyy toddler is a heavy wetter and we tried all times of diapers and the ones that have the least leaks is Huggies little movers. They move and roll with him all night long. Hope you find something soon!

I had the same problem (very suddenly) with pampers baby dry. We switched to Huggins little movers & they do much better but we still have an occasional issue sometimes if she happens to poop at night. I can't find Huggins overnight in her size & she's really small so I don't want to size up & have them not work.

Have you tried to pull the front a little higher as well? My youngest was soaking through his baby dry (size 6) so I ended up ordering Pampers Cruisers size 7 off Amazon since more stores don't carry it and it's worked better. Since my son is 2.5 I've also started to limit his water intake after dinner. He gets enough during the daytime and during his dinner so he doesn't get anymore after dinner. I think that has helped. He still occasionally "leaks" but it's only b/c his shirts touch the insides of his diaper. So I've started putting him in a footie PJs as well now.

We do Huggies overnites a size up, with an extra soaker pad and make sure the soaker stops below the diapers edge so it doesn't give pee an exit route. What has honestly helped most has been tapering liquids a bit before bed (we still do milk at night but less than before)

Have you tried using a cloth diaper cover (maybe a Flip cover with snaps) over the disposable to keep the diaper on?

I second the Huggies overnights (we sized up). Only thing that worked when our pampers kept failing us at night.

@erwoo: I try to pull the front up higher at night. I've been trying to do milk before bathtime to cut down on the wetness, but it's like he saves the pee until just before he wakesup. If he wakes up in the middle of the night, like around 4 am, he's fine...but at 6 am, he's busting through!

Ugh, DD has been leaking out of her Pampers overnights quite often and I never had this problem with Huggies! Totally going back to Huggies when the box runs out. And I might start putting a 4.0 cover on over her disposable each night!

My 2.5 year old daughter also leaks at night, and I've just about given up. We've used a variety of different night diapers, but haven't found one that always keeps her dry. I try to limit her drinks between supper and bed, but the air is so dry here that I allow her to go to bed with a bottle of 75% water and 25% apple juice. I know it's bad, but it helps her fall asleep without melt downs and sometimes hes finds it in the middle of the night and falls back to sleep, and I'm OK with that! We just end up doing a load of laundry every couple of days. She can go most weeks with only leaking through about 2 times now.

Both DD and DS are heavy wetters. Converted to cloth diapering an have not had a single leak. I triple the inserts at night, use a toddler prefold, or double infant prefolds. It's worked for us. I can throw all undergarments and diapers in the same load and good to go.

@Tanjowen: I remember my youngest doing that too - waiting to pee when he wakes up. Do you get him right away after he wakes up? Sometimes that helps as well. Hope you find something that works for you soon! Washing crib sheets all the time is no fun!

@Tanjowen: We use Pampers Extra Protection too! We cloth diapered during the day, but our daughter has always been a super-soaker at night. Those diapers were the only ones that worked for us overnight.
