Who does night feedings for your LO?
DH feeds her, but I get up and pump, so we're both awake.

Me. I EBF so there's really no point in DH waking up...better to let him sleep, since he has to go to work.

@hilsy85: We pump and feed milk, but if we were EBF, I'd let him sleep too.

@hilsy85: we're still changing diapers in the night so DH gets up and changes her and I feed her. He falls asleep before my milk lets down!

He gets up and gets the baby and brings her to bed so I can nurse her. Then I put her back down. Even though he's only up for less than 5 minutes it makes me feel so much less resentful of handling feedings at night since he wakes up too.

It was always me when DS was waking for a night feed. DH had work and I was on leave, my boobs were engorged anyway, so it worked for me~

I stay at home so I do most week nights unless I'm not feeling well or its been a bad day. Weekend nights he gets him and brings him in to nurse and puts him back down which is amazing.

DH gets the baby and brings him to bed for me to nurse him then he'll move the baby back to the pack n play once he's done. I hardly even wake up.

i wake up for all the night feeds since i'm ebf and she is very efficient- typically takes less than 10 mins tops, so no sense in waking up DH

My DH does the first half of the night like 9pm-12-1:30am. By that point, LO is hungry, so I go in and nurse him. Sometimes, he'll go down easy, other times not so much. Last night, we had a long feeding cycle because he wouldn't go back to sleep. Turns out, he wet his sleeper. So I changed him and he was awake. During that awake part, he pooped. So, I changed him into his clothes for daycare at 3am. He played, then slept up until I left for work.

@birdofafeather: ha even when we were changing diapers in the MOTN, it would be more of an effort to wake up DH--he's a deep sleeper!

@hilsy85: I have to jab DH and half the time he would ask what I wanted! I would say: your daughter needs her diaper changed! Ha.

I do most of them. DH does it when she wakes up before we go to bed or on weekends before 3am. She usually doesn't need to eat if she wakes up then.. She also rarely wakes at those times

I do...DS is ebf. lately its been killer with him waking up 2-3 times for 15-20 mins each, but its getting better since he is recovering from a virus.

I'm Ebf so I'm the only one that gets up probably about 96% of the time, only time dh gets up at night is if lo is taking a while to go back to sleep and she wakes him up so he occasionally helps getting her back to sleep but usually not.

From EBF to FF, just me!
He's working, plus even if he did get up I'd lay awake listening, so might as well be me.
Early days he was up too, and the odd time he'll beat me to her if she needs paci in, which is a treat!

DD doesn't eat in the night anymore, and anyways I don't breastfeed anymore, so I stopped doing the night wakings. I just kick DH under the covers until he gets up and soothes DD back to sleep. It's not a regular occurrence anymore in our house, so it's not a huge deal. Usually if she's sick or otherwise inconsolable then we just bring her to bed with us, and she goes right back down.
