My 11-month old has been nursing once per night for the last 2-3 months and I'm ready to night wean!! I started the process one week ago, gradually reducing the amount of time he nurses each night. Last night we were down to 2 minutes. He fussed a few minutes when I put him back down, but then went to sleep. BUT then he woke up 2 more times, and one of those times he was awake and fussing/on-off crying for almost an hour. So, it seems like night weaning isn't going well!! We did modified Ferber sleep training when he was 8 months, so he goes to sleep fine on his own.
Any tips for what to do when the gradual reduction method doesn't work?!
