The first time I had both of those things and the second time I didn't! I think I would have noticed unless it came out in the delivery room!

I lost my mucous plug in smallish pieces over about two weeks, but I didn't have my bloody show until my water was broken during my induction. If I didn't know about the mucous plug though, I probably just would've thought it was weird pregnancy discharge!

I never saw either. Well, maybe I kind of saw the bloody show, but I'm thinking that my uncertainty means it wasn't the real thing.

I started active labor with contractions. When the nurse in triage examined me, my bloody show and mucous plug happened. We called the nurse in because I thought my water broke, but it was just more of the show. My water was broken by the doctor at 6 cm in the middle of the night.

Never saw mine with my first, went into labor naturally in my due date. Seriously never saw even a spot or tinge thru the entire pregnancy. I was also not dilated at all ever.

With my second, was almost 3 cm dilated for weeks and lost my plug in pieces for weeks. I like to say i left my plug in pieces all over town. Seriously, every time I went to the bathroom! For weeks!

I never saw it but when my water broke it was like a tsunami, I could've missed it then

@mrs. wagon: BAhaha. Not disgusting, just keepin it real. Your experience with your first is comforting because I am showing no signs of anything and my cervix is closed, due date tomorrow...my fingers are crossed that I'll go into labor anyway!
