He's 26 months. Just as the title says no success today tell me it gets better. Daycare starts "potty training week Monday so we were just hoping to start it on the right foot and it's not going well.

@littlejoy: @Bluebonnet: ehh kind of the 3 day method. So daycare puts them in training pants on Monday and takes them to the bathroom every 15 mins and makes a huge deal out of it, peer pressure and all I guess it works they then increase the intervals throughout the week.
I was trying to get ahead of it and so we did no pants today and have prompted and taken to the bathroom every 15-30 mins. He gets it but doesn't know the feeling yet I hope so no luck in the potty. when I stop him when he's peeing on the floor and rush him to the potty he just stops. Success is anything in the toilet

@jetsa: our experience: super clear our son was ready. day 1 with underwear ... 8 accidents, day 2 -1 accidents, day 3 - 0 accidents. about 0-1 a day for a month after

We started super relaxed training pretty early. School was ready for this same idea around 15 months. She's 21 months now. I'd say she still has an average of 1 accident a day, but she's totally getting the hang out it.
I'd say just keep up with it. We'd do 20 min after eating, as soon as she was up from sleep, and then every 30-60 min. Bring books. Get ready to cheer!!

LO had a TON of accidents the first day. Like, total failure day. Day 2 was half that amount. Day 3 and beyond she only had accidents rarely. This was day-only, diaper still for nap time.

We did OCPT. Day 1 was kind of chaotic. She peed like every 10 minutes so there were some accidents though lots of success in the potty too. I do think she "got it" right away but I also felt like she was ready before we started.
The Oh Crap book (and blog!) has so many great tips for the weird things toddlers do so even if you aren't following the method, I would really recommend it. You can download the ebook on your computer/phone. She also has a whole chapter on how to work with daycare.

@pastemoo: no accidents! I can't even believe it, he's done #1 and 2 in the toilet without issue. We've used pull ups for nighttime and naps and he doesn't want us to take them off but other than that it's been great
