We skipped candy this year in the eggs. I know that's not helpful. Last year I did jelly beans and M&M's (not packaged) and we had ants in all the eggs!

LO hates chocolate so I put these into plastic eggs:
jelly beans
loose gummis (or tiny packs of gummi bears if you can find them)
marshmallows (well, really only a single one fits in lol)
Candy necklace/bracelet

@mediagirl: why not just open the package and dump them in?
Otherwise..... coins, an individual peep, tattoos, stickers

@Mamaof2: oh right, sorry. This is for daycare!

@winniebee: oh man, M would LOVE a candy necklace!!!!! What a great idea...uh...except I'm sure Thumper would love a candy necklace, too.

oops just realized you said candy - so tattoos and stickers wont work.
I bet a small bag of fruit chews/gummies would fit!

@Mamaof2: but it could be anything, really. Doesn't have to be candy. I just said candy because...hello, candy. Maybe I can find some small things of loose stickers I can stick in them. That's a good idea. I tried Annie's gummies (bunnies) this morning but they are too puffy.

@mediagirl: I went and bought bigger eggs to fit the Annie's gummies. I figured $2 for eggs was cheaper then buying candy to fit in the smaller eggs. We already had the gummies from Costco.

@Smurfette: yep, we have the big box from Costco, as well. Where did you find your larger eggs?

@mediagirl: Kroger! It was $1.99 for 6 but that is all that is in her class.

Tattoos and stickers are a big hit. That's what LO liked bedt from her daycare eggs. So that's what we are doing in her home eggs too

@mediagirl: What about the Annie's bunny cookies?

I was going to say larger eggs too. Target dollar spot has them in a 8 pack, I think?
Man, I totally dropped the ball on daycare easter this year! I forgot about bunny breakfast and treats for the kids!

Individual starburst is what we did for my DD's after school program where they asked for non-chocolate.
