I don't think I'm crunchy at all either! But not a parent yet, so who knows!

I don't consider myself crunchy. I know some very crunchy people, though, so maybe I'm just non-crunchy by comparison.

I am with @mrs. wagon: we have started changing our diet and the kids haven't had fast food since January so we are just trying to have healthier diets. The kids are watching tv while I am typing this.

I consider myself pretty middle of the road, but I probably am more non-crunchy.

I'm not crunchy, but I buy organic baby food for LO to make myself feel better.

Me! I love cooking with beef, cream of mushroom soup, and all other fatty goodness. I'm also a formula feeding, disposal diapering momma and I'm okay with that, it's what works best for our family.

To add to Wagon's list I love me some vaccines and the pacifier is my BFF!

@googly-eyes: I use it more than I should admit, we love it. I know it's full of nasty perservatives but making my own did not turn out as good! I figured I grew up on it and turned out just fine
Adding to my list: pacifiers, epideral, gerber baby food, vaccines.
Although I do buy organic cleaning products, some organic fruits/veggies, and meats/chicken with no growth hormones (farm raised) & we recycle haha so I guess I have maybe 1/16 crunch in me.

Not crunchy over here, although I secretly want to be. I do exclusively breastfeed and babywear though so my family thinks I'm a bit fussy -they don't know what crunchy means!

Lets see...I was induced(by choice-ish at 40+6), epidural was amazing!, had a csection(and not even considering a VBAC for #2), formula feeding, paci giving, jarred purees, not co-sleeping(unless I fell asleep holding him), sposie diapers...so not crunchy!
The only 'crunchy' things I do is we did BLW because its way easier than purees, that my child refuses. And I *heart* my Beco Gemini carrier.

I cloth diaper but I am not crunchy!
@sarbear: Ditto on the VBAC.

I don't think I am very crunchy at all! I mean, I plan on EBF and baby wearing just sounds more convenient but that is about it... I am thinking about cloth diapers only because they will be cheaper in the end but who knows what will happen until LO is actually here. We also plan on making our own baby food but again, purely for the cost reasons and the fact that I have tried jarred baby food. It can be downright gross! No wonder kids grow up not liking their veggies! The peas taste like butt! I think that is about as crunchy as I get! lol

I don't think I am! I'm EBF-ing and use green cleaning stuff..recycle..and we co-slept for almost 5 months but that was just because of what worked for us.
I am all about convenience! and saving money, which is prob why I'll make baby food (1.40 for a pouch, or 1.50 for 6 bananas?!) but...
my favorite thing in life i think was my epidural. we're besties.

Not a mom but I'm not crunchy, nor do I plan to be when I become a mom! I do like hearing about some of the things crunchier moms do, even though they are not for me

Phew!!!!! I'm sooooooo glad there are other people like me here. yayyyyyyy for us non-crunchy, maybe lazy peeps.
pomegranate / 3452 posts
I'm not sure what you'd categorize me as. We plan to baby wear and cloth diaper, and I am hoping for a birth with no interventions.
We don't eat only organic and sometimes we don't recycle. I just try to do my research and do what's best for our family. I don't like the label and presumed stigma of "crunchy."

I'm a non-crunchy girl living in a crunchy world!
I'm a vegetarian for verry different reason than most (eating muscle/skin/bones skeeves me out, nothing more). I eat organic - it's everywhere! lol I babywear (I'm lazy and my stroller doesn't fit in my car). I cosleep (I'm lazy and haven't cleared out our second bedroom yet). I think I'm crunchy for the wrong reasons, haha
But I love makeup and heels and brazilian waxes, nachos and beer. I buy leather shoes that probably make up for the meat I'm not eating. I don't cloth diaper - we don't have laundry and a diaper service is waaay too complicated and expensive.
I planned for a natural birth but s- happens.

Yup, took the test, I'm not very crunchy at all! Glad I'm not the only one!

@aprk: I'm surprised you say that...I feel like there's more of a stigma against those who aren't crunchy, but that could just be the people I know and where I live! (major city on the west coast!)
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
@rachiecakes: Cool! I definitely wouldn't call you lazy!!! I planned to babywear but LO doesn't like it.

Waving hands in the air! I am one of the least crunchy people you'll find. I breastfeed and love my Ergo carrier but, I think that's as crunchy as I go.
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
@sorrycharlie: True about the baby food! We haven't started yet but honestly I think I'd only last a few weeks making baby food so that's why I'm not even starting with it (or at least I don't currently plan to.) My epi was amazing too!!
coconut / 8475 posts
@googly-eyes: i'm the least crunchy person and momma you will ever meet. Kid slept in his crib for naps from day 1 and in his own room and is FF (initially not by choice but now I love it) , I only baby carry when I really have to clean my house and LO just won't let me. I tried Paleo, lasted 3 days. My pantry is already filled with Gerber baby food, although I was gifted a food processor and mason jars for making my own food. I use disposable diapers...and much else. Honestly, that is what makes my life comfortable and to each their own! We're very happy people, DH, LO & I Oh, and I love me some vaccines, pacifiers and my epi

@googly-eyes: I'm guess I just don't see it as an "either/or" sort of thing. I prefer simple things, and sometimes that's crunchy, sometimes it's not!
nectarine / 2886 posts
@Mrs Green Grass: I'm with you, I try to eat mostly organic and use non-toxic cleaners but I don't consider myself crunchy at all!
Also, I never knew baby wearing was considered crunchy! I thought it was more for convenience!
pomelo / 5093 posts
@littlek: These things are for sure not incompatible. I think that if I lived anywhere other than Portland (where crunchy is the norm), people would have a lot of trouble squaring my preppy, fashion-y exterior with my super-crunchiness.
And gaaaaaaah I hate that crunchy people are assumed to be anti-vaccine! Please, don't lump me in to that category!
