I have a egg free vanilla cupcake (not very sweet) recipe. Do you think I'm OK to just add canned pumpkins to it?

For now I'm just planning on throwing a festive Halloween topper on top. But does anyone have a non sugary, egg and nut free, does not need to be refrigerated topping for cupcakes? LOL I know it's a tall order!
