My ILs have a significant anniversary coming up and I think updated family photos with all the grandkids would be a nice gift from us and BIL/SIL. Anyone have a reco for a family photographer in North Jersey who shoots in natural light (no studio portraits). I think a 1hr/1outfit/1 location shoot would be perfect.

It was a huge group- 12 adults and 7 kids between the ages of 8 and 1 year old. She took the big group photo, individual family units, cousins, siblings, and probably some others. I think considering how many people and variables, they came out very good. But she was expensive- can’t remember how much and we split it with my siblings. I can share some of the actual photos we got if you wall me with your email address. (I’m not in north jersey but my family is in N.J. and we took the pics in Ramsey I think.).We did the pictures in a nature reservation type park there.

This photographer is a friend of mine - she's based in Union County (not sure if that is far enough north for you) - I love her work, and she's a of fun. She's got children of her own so is great with photographing kids!

We just did extended family photos around Thanksgiving and my mom hired Erika Deer. The photos came out nice, but were mostly posed. I really liked Michelle Wolf https://www.michellewolfephotography.com/Family/3 but ultimately it was my mom’s decision (my parents paid).
