I remember when I found out Rob Pattison was playing Edward, I was like "um are you kidding me?!" But he grew on me.
Eta. I only saw your first pic when I responded. The second one he is cleaned up as I said but looks too young. The third pic looks like he has the most potential. But still not what I imagined.

The female lead is Melanie Griffiths daughter with Don Johnson. No comment on her as I cannot recall anything she had been in.

Christian Grey is supposed to be tall and darkly handsome, at least in my mind. With the goatee, this guy reminds me of a South African farmer, lol (literally, the goatee makes him look just an Afrikaner I once knew), which would be gruff, but cuddly, not smooth at all. Buuuuut, whatever, I thought the book was rubbish, probably won't go see the movie anyways.

I think he's hot. And perfect- all of those rumors that big name actors were going to be in that movie... No way. They had to get someone less well known.
Also, the casting for Ana is perfect. She was in this terrible tv show called "Ben and Kate" playing a wishy-washy character. (She was also a slutty hostess in "The Five Year Engagement".) She's an ok actress. She does meek well, which is perfect for Ana. It's not like its a multi dimensional role...
