Update on us and our meeting with the fertility specialists. Initial testing was ordered. I had my cd3 ultrasound yesterday and it was good. My ovaries and uterus look great and they saw 9 follicles which is in the good range (esp for my age). They did blood work and the dr called and told me everything was normal and I was so happy... but then added that my FSH was slightly high but nothing to worry about. So I took that to be good. Well DH, being a numbers guy, wanted my FSH number so I called back and got it and whomp whomp (que panic). It was a 12.9. Which doesn't seem good!!! However, the dr said it was nothing to worry about.. yeah right.
Anywhoooo, I have my HSG set for Monday. And I head into my fertile week on thanksgiving. Please cross your fingers that we get a turkey baby after all and don't have to end up with IUI's or IVF

@thismustbetheplace: @teawithpaloma: Congrats ladies! I love waking up to all these positives.
I'd love to get everyone's take on when I will/have ovulated.
I took Clomid, 50m, from CD3-7. Yesterday morning (CD13) I had a smiley on a ClearBlue opk (not the advanced) using FMU and then I followed up with a mid-day 3 hour hold and it was also a smiley. This morning using FMU it was negative. I'll take another one later in the day today. Is it bad that it appears I only had one day? My EWCM also appears to be tapering off. I had a ton yesterday and less so today. We DTD yesterday morning and this morning so I think I've covered my bases, but I'm just curious.

@mrsjd: I didn't use OPKs but my EWCM just lasted one day and then was gone, so that sounds normal to me. Looks like you covered your bases!

@teawithpaloma: Congratulations!!!
@mrsjd: I would say your bases are covered!

Some opk advice....
I'm definitely ovulating sometime after day 14, hopefully I will still get to poas in November but we will see.
My opk today at 5:00, after a 4 hour hold, is almost positive but not quite. In the past, I've gotten one of these the day before my full on positive (which is always obvious). Cm has been watery for days, and isn't a great indicator since I was gearing up to ovulate but then delayed a bit after getting sick.
I know there is no harm in trying tonight, except that my husband has been feeling the pressure a bit, so we'd been going every other day. With my daughter we had sex every day for like four days before ovulation, so I feel a little nervous about not trying tonight. But better odds if we tried tomorrow, right?
I kind of know the answer to this, but I am so consumed with all this stuff and I like to talk it out out loud.....

@mrsjd: I think with the Clearblue tests, advanced or not, you stop testing once you get the solid smiley. So I'm not sure what the negative means? Are you also temping?
nectarine / 2591 posts
@Silva: I think your odds would be better tomorrow since you haven't got a positive or ew yet.
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
@AprilFool: that's what I figured. For what it's worth, it definitely feels like I'm about to move into EWCM. I had some over the weekend, but it stopped when I got sick.
I guess I'm just worried about this all being unpredictable from the gluten and the recent miscarriage. I'm used to my body before the celiac thing (and before the m/c)
nectarine / 2591 posts
@Silva: I get that and if you see some EW I would pounce DH no matter what! If it helps, we never dtd everyday any of the 3 times we conceived.

I have cramping today so not sure what that means - AF is coming soon I guess?
clementine / 928 posts
@wheres_c: didn't we O around the same time? On Monday? I doubt it's AF cramping if we O'd 3 days ago. I've had a few cycles where cramping started a few days after O and stayed for a bit. Our bodies are so weird sometimes

@mrschickpea: . I'm so new to this!
How often are we supposed to DTD after a positive OPK?
I didn't do anything yesterday and now I'm thinking I should have?
kiwi / 706 posts
@mrschickpea: you can push my O date to today and POAS date to 11/29. I had a solid smiley on Tuesday but this morning my temp did not rise. Hopefully I'm ovulating.

@AprilFool: @mrschickpea: Thank you.
My line keeps getting darker. Today was supposed to be the start of my cycle. I'm feeling optimistic and will probably stop testing unless something changes.

@wheres_c: we just try every other day during fertile window up until O. This time, it ended up being on O-4, O-2, and O-1 and not on actual O day. Hopefully that was enough! After a positive OPK you probably O around 12-36 hours after that, so anytime in the window is good! Though I know plenty of woman who got pregnant by DTD just once a few days before O, so you never know!
@marley: no problem!

Here's a screenshot of my glow app. What you are saying makes me think we should have DTD earlier? I was on a work trip until that Thurs. I need to travel next month for work so trying to time the trips properly.

I'm already sure we're out this month - unless DH's swimmers stayed around a bit! I believe I ended up o'ing yesterday and the last time we BD was Monday. Our whole area is out of power so we've had house guests to keep us busy the last two nights. Oh well! Maybe we'll get lucky.

@coopsmama: They can last up to 5 days, so maybe you'll get lucky
@wheres_c: That looks like great timing!
@teawithpaloma: yay, congrats
@marley: Hopefully you get a rise tomorrow

@MrsB2012: thanks! it's so confusing when temps do not correspond with Clearblue!
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
@MrsB2012: That's true! But my other two we conceived day of O so I'm not sure if we'd get that lucky.

I love how I hem and haw about "almost" positive opks each month, and then when it's actually positive it's like "BAM!" in 30 seconds.

@Silva: <dancing girl emoji> Yay for positive opk!
@coopsmama: good luck! Power outage sounds like a crazy little adventure too!
@marley: hopefully all becomes clear soon!

@Silva: woohoo! Looks great!
@wheres_c: Looks like you got GREAT days!

@teawithpaloma: @thismustbetheplace: Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you both!
@Silva: For me, I always get super super faint lines and then BAM positive. I always start wondering if I missed it, or if my opks are working because I don't see it change gradually!
Ahhh only a few more days until I plan to test. The wait is killing me.

@thismustbetheplace: @teawithpaloma: Ahh congrats, ladies! So exciting.
So today was day 3 of "high" reading on my CB digital opk... But my regular OPK is so stinking negative. Like it's pathetic. There's nothing to even think about with it. Blah. Ready for a positive. I just want to get the cycle going... I hate feeling like the entire cycle is waiting... Waiting to O and then waiting to POAS.
We're only trying through next month so I'm really hoping I O soon so that we can at least get two cycles of trying in before the year is up.
kiwi / 706 posts
@missybear: right? It's definitely more than a TWW. Waiting for AF, waiting for CM, waiting for O, waiting for temp spike, etc.
kiwi / 706 posts
@mrschickpea: @Nutella: @MrsB2012: got my ride today. But FF is telling me I O'd on CD 17 (11/17). But that's my first day of solid smiley tested in the AM with flashing smiley just the night before. I only BDd on O-3, O-1, and O+1. I guess my body didn't want to give me much notice this time. My temps also look a bit weird. What do you guys think?
apricot / 490 posts
@Shizaz: @missybear: Thank you!
@missybear: I had a window too that was closing so I can relate.
clementine / 928 posts
@marley: I think that looks about right! Good days still I don't temp though so maybe some other bees can offer advice on that? I think they look fine, just wait for a temp drop for possible implantation soon?
