@marley: Me too. And even though I wish now the age gap could be a little smaller, I just wasn't ready.

6dpo here... feeling slightly bloated and some gassy movement feelings...
We met with the fertility specialists today and they basically just ordered a bunch of testing and once the results are in that's when we'll develop a plan.
I have to go in as soon as AF shows for an ultrasound and some bloodwork, then once AF leaves I have to have a dye xray of my uterus and fallopian tubes.
DH has to supply a sperm sample to be tested as well.
Once all those tests are done we'll meet with the dr again and form a plan...
When we left poor DH was like " I really hope you're pregnant"

@LCTBQE: Hugs! I'm so so sorry. You have every right to be upset and vent on here. Take care.
@Kitkat: Glad you got some answers from your doctor. Im terrible at asking questions when Im at my appointment too. Did she think you were not ovulating even though you were getting your period? Im trying to figure out if I'm having anovulatory cycles, but I have been getting periods so I can't tell.
@Nutella: Sorry to hear AF showed but hopefully it'll be a good new cycle! I've been having weird LP issues too.
@Ajsmommy: Hope you get a bfp soon!!
@pwnstar: That's interesting that your cbefm went low straight to peak too. Glad you got the BDing in before your DH went on his trip. My Cbefm has gone low to peak too (and i was unsuccessful at getting my exhausted DH to BD). The cbefm has been making me crazy though so I think I might not use it next month. I'm now on my 10th high day this month. Wtf.
@marley: I hear you girl. I'm no spring chicken either and my DH is in his 40s.

@tiramisu: thank you, I'm hopeful. We conceived our daughter on my second month off the pill four years ago.

@tiramisu: yes, she thinks I'm not ovulating even though I'm getting my period based on looking at my charts
apricot / 409 posts
@Kitkat: thanks for sharing. Good thing you were charting! I just started temping a few days ago....wish i had started sooner. I guess I had assumed I was ovulating since I would get AF.

Ugh I think I'm out. Stark white at 9dpo (both my previos BFPs were blaring at 9dpo). This sucks.

@pwnstar: I'm so exhausted from false hope. You know? This stupid m/c has made me so bitter
pear / 1718 posts
@JoJoGirl: Fwiw, my barely visible second line didn't appear until at least 12/13 dpo. This process is so draining. So much planning and waiting and worrying and not ever having it completely leave your mind for a full minute . . . it doesn't take long for that to take its toll. I'm so sorry. ((hugs))
As an aside, my tests are still so light I'm thinking about calling and requesting a beta. My period is officially one day late, and I know it takes 2/3 days for HCG to double (which may or may not be because I spent an insane amount of time yesterday looking up the same questions over and over!), but I am starting to get panicky. You know, because, it's not like I was already worried or nervous or anything.

@pwnstar: try a digital. People have been having weird experiences with FRER not getting dark.
pear / 1718 posts
@BandDmommy: I tried a digital Monday and it was a BFN. But you make a good point about trying another test brand/type too. I will try that this afternoon/tomorrow before deciding to call the doc.
pomelo / 5660 posts
@pwnstar: I want to say 2 people recently had super light FRER and dark when they used another brand.

@JoJoGirl: still early! But I totally understand the disappointment and waaiittiinngggggg. It seems like forever every month! By now, I wish I could just wait on AF every month but my Endocrinologist wants me to test ASAP every time so then I can adjust my thyroid meds immediately if needed it super stresses me out
@pwnstar: I feel like you just implanted late lady! But I also get your frustration, all this waiting during TTC can drive a sane woman freakin bonkers!
On another note, it seems like everyone around us is pregnant and it took a whole 10 seconds for it to happen My SIL is 16 weeks pregnant with her second and we had dinner with MIL last night who decided to volunteer the information that "she just got off the pill and was pregnant 2 weeks later!" And normally that wouldn't even phase me, it's just been a looonngggg 8 months for us I guess

@mrschickpea: You're probably right. I'm trying to remain positive but practical at the same time. And the fact that I just wrote that almost makes me laugh at myself, because, obsessed is a flattering term for how occupied my brain is!

Just a small update. I am spotting again today. It started (and stopped) yesterday, and then started up again today. I have an appointment this Friday to get things checked out.
@JoJoGirl: hugs and hugs and hugs!

@marley: @nutella: @winterbee: @pwnstar: @flowergarden: @Silva: @aprilfool: @simplyfelicity: @MrsB2012: thanks so, so much to all of you for letting me have my tantrum
I really appreciate the virtual hugs and support.
My OB says my rates are in the range of possible viability and (particularly if I was wrong about my O date) and thinks the only thing I can do is wait it out, so I'm going back next week to see what I have here, and no more betas in between. I got a big lecture about how I need to calm down and stop micro-managing, which I am taking to heart, so I'm going to stop temping and no more FRERs. Still not optimistic, but feeling less bad.

@LCTBQE: so good to hear. I agree that we all just need to chill out, I just wish it were easier. I try to calm down, then freak out that I'm not calming down! lol.
nectarine / 2461 posts
@pwnstar: just today at my OB's she told me they look for a 60% increase, *not* a 48-hr double. more fun math for you to do if you go in for betas
Not in much of a position to make you feel better with the crazy-light FRER experience at the moment, but do give it a few more days--you can't expect it to get color over a 1-day period this early on. there is another bee named @Dr. Pepper whose light one had a totally healthy beta number recently.
Really hoping the spotting turns out to be nothing.
nectarine / 2461 posts
@marley: yeah, exactly, exactly!
@pwnstar: @JoJoGirl: I have never been able to think positively and practically at the same time, so I am going to try not thinking at all, if possible. It's really becoming clear to me that I have zero control over the outcome here.
I'm so sorry you're getting discouraged, jojo. I feel you--the false hope is the most painful part of all of this. I felt so foolish after my m/c that I was optimistic even a little. Le sigh.
@mrschickpea: that sounds very stressful, but I'm so glad you're getting good care. agreed, everyone on earth is pregnant (or shall I say, viably pregnant). I'm pretty sure my SIL is also pregnant, so many women at work, and about 10% of all women on the MTA. I'm positive that if none of us gave a shit, or particularly if we weren't sure we even wanted it, we'd all be knocked up in a heartbeat.

@mrschickpea: that's terrible. Does you MIL know you've been TTC? inlaws are super clueless sometimes.

@LCTBQE: hello! Kudos to you on the lax attitude to temping and FRERs, you're so right...nothing you can do can change outcome at this point so try not to beat yourself up
@JoJoGirl: hey girl, feel your pain. I'm onto next month too & was feeling SUPER shit last when I tested negative. My AF was only 2 days long this time so I am pretty sure my body doing weird things & is just not ready yet. Are you back doing crossfit? I'm working out lots as a good distraction.
And can I just say a big F U to this 'super fertile' bs that we all know about. Right now just making me feel worse! Thanks

@mrschickpea: I agree, every Tom, Dick & Harry seem to be preggers over here. Selective vision is on all time high right now.

Asking for prayers that this blessing sticks!!!! I haven't postdd my POAS date in months because I've been so discouraged. After over a year of being off depo, I had a chemical pregnancy in July and then my cycle went super funky bouncing between 24 to 30 days. It felt impossible to track. Well I got this, this morning and I can't wait to test again tomorrow. Asking for prayers and baby dust!!!!

My digi was BFN this morning (so much for an anniversary present), and I'm spotting again, but more heavily than before. Pretty sure this is a m/c, but will keep my appointment tomorrow anyway.

@marley: no, they aren't aware that we are TTC so it wasn't purposely said to be hurtful fortunately. Just stings a bit
