So we are not actively TTC yet, but we are not preventing it either. I just stopped the pill last month and we decided we would "see what happens!" Anyone else do this? How long before you got a BFP??

we got pregnant on my first cycle off BCP (as in, I finished a pack, had my period/withdrawal bleed, didn't start a new pack, and 4 weeks later got the BFP...so I never even had a "real" period!)

I'm going off my BC in two weeks (one active week left, one placebo week). I wanted a month of NTNP to let my cycle regulate back out but DH doesn't want to wait. So we'll see!

It took us a whole two cycles. We are very blessed it happened so easy (both times -currently baking baby #2) but I was shocked. Apparently I have no idea how my cycle works.

Both times I got a BFP the first month, but the first ended in a miscarriage.

Wow. I am surprised at how quickly it happened for so many of you! That's so great. I hope we are the same way. For those of you that said one or two cycles, were you coming right off of bcp or did you allow your cycles to regulate for a bit?

@monet11: I had been off BC for about a year but I've never really had regular cycles. We just tried to have about sex twice a week (per usual) and it all worked out.

I went off BC in September and we found out that we were expecting in Feb. It felt like forever but really it wasn't.

I went off BC in August and found out I was pregnant in November so it was on my third cycle.

About a year off bc for us, but I have Pcos. I never had a period during that time.

We are still waiting for our month. We have been TTC for 6 months and NTNP for a month.

First month NTNT, but we didn't realize and it ended up being ectopic and requiring surgery. Now we're TTC actively.
I haven't been on hormonal BC for years, but we were using condoms before NTNT.

We did, 2 tries for us. I had been off BCP for a year & taking prenatals for 3 months per my doctor's suggestion Good luck!

The first cycle...I decided to stop taking my pill after my period came last August and then got pregnant in Sept. I probably should have waited a month or two to let things regulate and also to start taking prenatals but it is what it is! Had a healthy baby

We probably did 3-4 months on/off of NTNP, but never got pregnant. Granted, with DHs work schedule, we don't DTD that frequently to just randomly hit the OV window period well and I was pretty irregular after getting of BC.
We got pregnant on our 3rd cycle TTC (but resulted in a m/c) and pregnant again on the 2nd cycle after m/c.

@monet11: i had been off BC for about a year & a half, was using condoms before ntnp though.

@scg00387: Dr told us to wait 3 months post BC before we tried & I had already started a prenatal. I REALLY wanted to listen to the doctor but there was no way I was waiting 3 months (God had His plans, cycle 9 all w/ BFN). Sex right after going off the pill was the best sex ever! Fingers crossed that cycle 10 will give us our BFP!

First time NTNC we got pregnant. We were shocked it happened so fast!

It was 6 months between when we pulled the pill and got pregnant, but we were only actively trying (charting, etc.) for 2 of those months.

@monet11: I'm so happy for those who got a BFP so quickly. I wish the same for my husband and I. I got excited this month because I was 4 days late and was hoping we would get a BFP, but to my dismay, I was just 4 days late. I'm currently on cycle 9 ever since we were officially TTC. I was never on BCP and thought this was going to be easier. Nevertheless, we're not going to give up. Much luck to you and your husband when you guys start TTC.

I had an IUD and not birth control pills, but it took us 6 months.

I went off the pill in November and got pregnant in February. We weren't trying to get pregnant and I was tracking my cycle so that I knew when the "danger" week was. However, I clearly forgot to check in February and Valentine's Day happened. However, I had been on folic acid and a multi vitamin for awhile.
