Hm strange. R sometimes decline nursing before his morning nap - he doesn't cry just pushes me away or turns his head and reaches for his binki. I figure he will let me know if he wants to nurse. And usually he's nursed within the 2.5 hours prior and has had breakfast so probably isn't hungry.

Is he eating a big dinner? Getting teeth?

Huh?! I do the same as you at night some nights G turns away or pushes away doesn't cry so I just put her in bed, I am guessing she is full and way tired?!
Does he cry long?!

I would try either just letting it go or moving bedtime 15 minutes earlier in case it's because LO is too tired.

My son turns one this week and seems to be in the process of self-weaning. Granted, I haven't nursed him to sleep in ages (we do a pumped bottle at bed to ensure a full tummy), but the other three nursing sessions during the day are getting shorter and shorter, or he'll even sporadically skip one because he doesn't feel like it. I know it's definitely hard for us , but I'd say if he is crying and refusing you then it might be good to let him take the lead on whether or not he wants to nurse.

@Adira: this sounds like my LO around 12/13 months. I didn't push it too much but as it was his last feed to drop, he fully weaned in the week after that! I was super sad but time-wise, it def helped the evening bedtime wind down process!
