we did the practice booklet twice about a week or two before. we didn't do much prep because we're zoned for a great local school.

my friend prepped daily for months leading up to the test, up to an hour each day. she bought the test prep materials and he scored a 99. here's the site:

@bunnylove08: she started a couple months before the test. charlie took the test a month after he turned 4, so her son was 4 years 8 months old when he took the test.

3 sounds really early to prepare. for what it's worth, most of charlie's classmates that took the test (not everyone did) did well without much prep.

@Mrs. Bee: I'm curious, are your kids bilingual? My B doesn't speak English yet, and he's kind of behind in speech. I'm wondering if I should just reach him English and give up on my first language. I'd really hate to do that, but maybe getting a good start in school is more important...

@Mrs. Bee: 20 months. I assumed he'd have plenty of time to learn both languages, but now I don't know.

Maybe that's good that your kids speak English first! It'll probably make their life much easier in school.
