I know I’m an addict, but I can’t stop peeing on sticks! Today is 16 dpo, which is when I had my draw last month with bad numbers, so I am a little extra crazy. Yesterday my test line was a little darker than the control, and today the tests look wonky, I think because they are pulling dye from the control. Anyone have betas done when their lines were this dark? First pic is yesterday and second pic is today.
And yes, I know I’m a little nuts 🤪

I did a blue dye when I was about 6 weeks and the test line was crazy dark and the control super faint but not weird looking. Perhaps try one of those to make yourself feel better? Or stop peeing on sticks

@MamaBear87: lol, I can’t help myself!! The two tests today were from different boxes, so I don’t know why they are both a little squiggly. I’m not concerned today, more curious

My betas were 800 and 2000 on days 17/19 dpo. My tests were as dark as yours

@BadgerMom: that is reassuring! I want them to be over 300, which I think they are, but I know it’s so hard to say from a pee stick lol

@LAZB: I was equally crazy so I stoped doing these and did the weeks indicator ones from clear blue so I could watch it go from 1-2 then 2-3 then 3+.
It might just be a Canada thing though I can’t remember where you are at!

@LAZB: this is to illustrate that the lines are *NOT* de facto beta tests: posting for you here two FRERs of when I first was pregnant with my son and coming off of two miscarriages in a row, so I was very anxious. I had gotten a couple of betas at my OB and they thought things were on track, but I was still POAS constantly. the lack of progression on the 12/17 FRER compared to the test 2 days prior sent me into an absolutely frantic tailspin--that day we were flying home to Texas for Christmas. I sobbed the *entire* way through the Newark airport security line and during half the flight because I was so sure it was another m/c because the line didn't get darker. Then when we landed I went straight to an independent lab and paid $100 for a beta. My hcg on the day of the 12/17 test was 3518. Look at that line--it's pretty shaky, but a beta in the 3000's. So I'm not going to tell you that you're crazy because I'm crazy too and crazy people don't care whether or not they're crazy, but I'm telling you, FRER's truly can't be used that way

Yeah, I’ve been there on the crazy. With my oldest I had equally dark lines on 14dpo, 385 beta on 15dpo (did not poas), and darker than control on 16dpo.
I agree it’s not all that accurate to guess from lines but just some data for fun! 
ETA don’t test much longer though or you risk scaring yourself with the hook effect where too high numbers make it look faint again!!

When I was 12dp5dt (equivalent to 17dpo) I had a 770 beta and my lines looked like that for sure.

Let me start by saying y'all made me feel so much better yesterday. I'm not analyzing the tests like I was before, but I thought this was interesting, so wanted to share in case someone comes upon this thread in a Google search or something.
These tests are yesterday and today at 16/17 dpo. The frer is the same as yesterday but the wondfo is noticeably darker, more so in real life.
No idea my HCG, but I would think at least 600 from what I've seen around.

@LCTBQE: I came back just to read your comment again. I’m just had my second draw, and am waiting for results. My tests kind of look the same as yesterday, but I’m done with taking them at home. I’m trying to stay calm and positive, and your post totally helps me

@LAZB: I know you've really been through it, I'm hoping the best for this one. Trust me, no one has ever been so certain of a miscarriage than me after I peed on that FRER, but that was my little boo. Also for lol's, with my daughter I was dead certain I was having a chemical because she implanted really late and my first beta was like, 6--here is my crazy-town, hand-wringing board about her:

The only solace I found in the entire process was just recognizing that the destiny of each pregnancy had already been determined at conception and there was nothing to "do". Let me know how the numbers are, my fingers are crossed for you.

@LAZB: ETA I didn’t realize this post was older sorry! Do you have a dollar tree nearby you ? For whatever reason the dollar tree tests came out extremely/satisfyingly dark when I tested around 14-16 dpo.
Or maybe a digital would help?

@magnolia: thanks this thread is actually old, and that pregnancy ended in miscarriage around 9 weeks. I’m currently 4 weeks pregnant now, and my tests from today (top and bottom) aren’t really darker than yesterday’s test, but I’m hoping it’s just because the test doesn’t really reflect rising numbers.

@LCTBQE: lol, I know I’m a nut. The middle is 15 dpo and top and bottom are 16 dpo. I had a big change from 14 to 15, so since it stalled today, I got nervous again

@LAZB: agree with @LCTBQE: those are awesome. I think 17dpo or so will get you a darker than control test line but this looks as good as it gets for where you are. Still rooting hard for your Dec 1 bfp baby!!

Levels only went up to 158. The doctor says it’s fine, but they didn’t double so I’m worried

@LAZB: was it less than 48 hours between draws?
ETA: so they’re sending you for another draw? I assume it’s okay if they said not to worry. That means they aren’t worried yet. I have read online that it can take 48-72 hours for doubling in the first three weeks. Pretty much everywhere says that. My doctor does betas every 3 days to allow for that.

@Petitduck: It was exactly 48 hours. They didn’t offer another draw, but I asked for one so I’ll go Saturday. I’ve also heard that it’s fine to take three days to double, but I’ve never actually seen someone be successful and a pregnancy when it takes that long

@LAZB: I’d reserve judgment for the third draw then. I’m kind of surprised your doctor just stopped at two. I hope the next one is more comforting to you and doubles or more.
