It's your first ovulation week and you are wondering if you should have sex everyday?

well sperm can live up to 4 days in the system, so I'm not sure you need to do it everyday. But I mean if you make it fun and not a burden... then by all means, go for it!

I would go for every other day. When we conceived, we did two days on, one day off, two days on, two days off, one day on. Good luck. (and I had no clue what you were saying either). LOL

Every other day for sure. We started off with everyday, but it got exhausting for my husband. It's also good to let his soldiers recharge a bit. My husband looked forward to his off days which made the "on" days more fun. We bookended O day this cycle with BD before and after it. Maybe on it too, I'd have to look at my FF to remember offhand.

I saw my eyebrow waxer yesterday. She and her boyfriend BD like crazy. I bet that his soldiers are worn out from that, therefore aren't the best ones to make a baby. I was worn out looking at her calendar with 7 days of non stop BD.

We do it about everyday the 3 days before and the day of. They say if he has a normal sperm count, every day is fine, if you don't get worn out but i 2 days before and day of would be good too! i never worry about the day after since it's highly unlikely you can still get pregnant then!

Every other day. Sperm can live a while, and you want your DH to build up another supply being you do it again.

Every other day worked for us - every other day just seemed like too much.

We did every day this cycle...in a few days, I'll know if it worked! I think next month, if it didn't, we'll still do every day, but maybe not start as early (we started like 5 days before I o'd this month because I didn't want to miss it).

This is our first cycle trying. I'm suppose to O on the 15th according to my phone app charting (not doing temps though) We started BD on the 11th, and tonight. We will BD again on Thursday. Good Luck everyone !!

I never did this whole charting thing. We just did every other day throughout the whole month. Took us 3 cycles, and we didn't wait for my body reregulate after coming off bc

We're fans of the old addage, "When in doubt, bang it out.". We're unsure as to when I'm going to O this month (probably today or tomorrow if you trust OPKs) so we've just been going with everday since CD7...It's now CD13 and he's no worse for the wear!

If it doesn't work out this cycle we'll probably give every other ady a shot, but we figured this cycle since we're young he might rebound a bit easier sperm count wise than an older man would.

I remember reading somewhere that every other day is best. But, I'm kinda of the mind that you should just have a good time and see what happens. At least for the first couple of cycles.

There is very little difference in success when comparing every other day and daily, unless the man has a lower sperm count. Then it is definitely best to BD every other day. Plus, doing it daily can be more stressful to a lot of couples.

@Bru: You should put that on your implantation symptoms post! We also somehow managed every day but O day in a 10 day span. I have symptoms like Bru's - now to wait and not get excited in the interim.

I just went to my doctor last week and thought I'd share - she told me to only do it every other day. That that is plenty and you want the best quality of sperm. Oh, my husband doesn't have a low count or anything that we know of. We had been doing every day for 5 months and it wasn't working. So we're trying every other this month Takes some of the timing pressure off too!
