@Claire.Peonies: Easier said than done, I know! We've had a bunch of ED BDing then it's been EOD since since I Oed late. Poor DH is just not having it anymore... I told him we can skip tonight and try and get one more time in tomorrow. =/

@Claire.Peonies: I had 4 positive OPKs in a row last month. I didn't get pregnant - obvs - so I don't have any advice. Maybe just figure a bunch of positives is better than no positives!

Oof - I swear the TWW was invented purely for torture. I gave in and took a test this morning at 10dpo... negative! 10,000% negative. But my chart is patently triphasic, and the only other time my temps were this high were when I was pregnant before. I am having some weird cramping, but I am also reallllly good at manufacturing symptoms.

@Claire.Peonies: Is it possible you could be pregnant? I had this same thing happen to me one time...I had 6 days straight of + OPKs and I started googling what that could mean, and read that often OPKs turn positive when an HPT would too? http://peestickparadise.com/opk_as_hpt.html
cherry / 245 posts
@peacockblue: @Claire.Peonies: I was wondering the same thing... OPKs can turn positive for either an LH surge... or being pregs. And it's so weird that it was positive for so many days!
honeydew / 7295 posts
LH is a really funny thing. One reason OPKs are not the best single form for ovulation detection is that we make LH all through our cycles. Even men do. And you can have several peaks. For the best accuracy it should be used while temping for the a month or two and you are supposed to stop testing when you get a positive. FYI when I was pregnant with my son I got much darker OPK line than my pregnancy test line so there is always hope. Fx for you @Claire.Peonies:

Hi guys,
Just checking in to say hi! Having a weird TWW... tested at 12 DPO and negative. Expected AF yesterday, or perhaps today at the very latest but nothing yet.
It's my first month charting, and I'm not sure if I just havn't quite gotten the hang of taking my temperatures but it's up and down like a yo-yo: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/47029a. It hasn't yet dipped below the cover line at 15DPO, but it's been close a couple of days.
I'm too scared to test again, so I think I'll just wait another day or so to see if AF arrives... Aaargh... this is impossible!
Good luck to everyone else waiting right now - it truly SUCKS!

I tested yesterday and got a I can feel AF coming so I'm not going to test again and just wait for her it show up. I think this is the first month where it'll really hit me that we aren't pregnant.
We are going to be more NTNP these next two cycles so I won't be joining the fun holiday themed POAS threads. If I get pregnant these next 2 cycles I'll be due at the beginning of the school year and I would like to avoid that!
Good luck to everyone left testing this month!

I didn't get a +opk until this past week so I won't be testing until the 30th.

@Cole: I'm digging your stats girl! Good work. Let's get to that 30%!
@ShayNanigans: Ooo, such a pretty chart! looks good to me. FX!
@Boopers: My sister is a teacher and plans on avoiding the beginning of the school year too. Hoping your timing works out the way you'd like, although I'm sure a surprise baby would be awesome too!

@littlek: Tomorrow morning! I just would think there'd be something faint by now? Who knows - and I never have symptoms of AF until it actually happens, so I really have no instinct at all whatsoever as to what's going on. (sigh)

Congrats to all those with recent +opks!! I'm hoping the end of this month brings a ton of BFPs to go with them!!!
I'm on CD16 and I've been testing with my CBEFM this month, and started using opks as well, since I think I'm almost out of strips for the monitor. Well I'm had almost a week straight now of high readings out of the monitor. However, I've also tested with opks the last 2 days and didn't get any sort of a reading. Which one of these things should I trust haha?? I wasn't planning on buying more monitor test strips this month (mostly just due to cost) but now I wonder if I should since I'm getting a much more hopeful reading from them?
Either way, we've been bd'ing every other day since CD8 - so hopefully the testing is just a bonus?

@Claire.Peonies: you are getting some good feed back here! I'm still hopeful for you!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Keppa: Is this your first time using the monitor? It's possible it missed your surge. It takes a cycle for the monitor to sometimes read your cycle.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Boopers: I'm sorry.
@ShayNanigans: Good luck this morning!!!
Charting stresses me out. I suck at it. First, I have been sick the past week. Second, I don't think I get a restful sleep due to DH who works long hours and wakes me up at 1 a.m. or 2 a.m. every night. Maybe charting isn't for me.
nectarine / 2932 posts
@littlek: I was like that at first. Now that I've gotten into the swing of things it's gotten better. The first two cycles were a doozy!

11dpo today and BFN.
I'm not going to lie.. I'm pretty bummed and so is DH.

@Littlebit: Big hugs to you, I am sorry this wasn't your month. I really hope next month is your month.
@littlek: It took awhile for me to find my groove with charting too and even now it still isn't perfect. I thought I finally found my perfect time in the morning where I had enough sleep and hadn't been woken up recently, plus some mornings I had a hard time going back to sleep so it had to be late enough that I wouldn't be pissed if I was up for the day but then my dh started training for a marathon and now he wakes up before my alarm and wakes me up half the time! I am still happy to have the information and I guess now I will be adjusting to the time he wakes up.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Cole: I think the other tough thing is I don't sleep well since having LO. I used to be a very deep sleeper, but now the slightest noise wakes me up. And we have two yappy dogs.
grapefruit / 4649 posts
@littlek: That makes sense, I am sure charting is easier before kids! It certainly isn't worth it if it stresses you out. The first couple of nights I was so worried about taking my temp I woke up like 6 times through the night, if that had continued I would have chucked the thermometer out the window!
nectarine / 2932 posts
@littlek: I know I'm not technically out yet, but I feel like it. I'm a negative nancy...I see people getting positives at 8dpo and think this is 3 days later...if there was going to be a line it should be here by now. I'm sure that's not case, but I can't help but think it. Oh, I also have a yappy dog that likes to get up in the middle of the night which was messing with my temp taking. I've learned to try to go with the flow more and not taking the temping so seriously. As long as I have 2 or 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep before I test my temps are usually fine!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Littlebit: I think people who get a BFP at 8 DPO are the exception not the rule. Hang in there!!!!
blogger / apricot / 427 posts
@littleK: I used the monitor a couple of years ago to get pregnant with my son; however I reset it for this go-around because I wasn't sure if there would be any issues with the length of time since I last used it. I guess I'll assume I missed the surge and probably just keep bd'ing every other day until AF arrives
cherry / 245 posts
Another negative today at 12dpo! I'm sure I'm out. I know we like to say it isn't over until AF but... that's often not the case. Ugh, frustrating!

Hi ladies--- as we say in New England, I'm a rollova'!
AF arrived on Friday (a day early) so I am already planning for November with my new CBE fertility monitor.
My last BFP came in November, so I feel its an awesome month!
Good luck to everyone!!!

So I'm still in my TWW, too early to test, but I feel like I go back and forth every month... I try to put off testing because it's so devastating seeing a negative pregnancy test, but then I convince myself 'maybe this is the month!' and then I test anyway. Since it's always been negative, it kinda sucks. So anyway, hoping everyone is having a cheerful TWW despite all that and maybe we'll get some BFPs soon!

@RLCeigh: Your post just made me miss Boston! I went to BC and I have such a fondness for those dropped Rs
Here's hoping November is good to all of us! I am already excited for the next POAS thread.

I've spent far too much time playing on FF lately with future temps... I had +OPKs on CD33 and 34. Depending on future temps, FF will give me cross hairs anywhere from CD 34 to 35. Thank you FF for making this even more confusing for me! Sunday's temp was a bit of a mess... I temped at 5:10 a.m. and again at 8:30 a.m. Usually it's normal to have a small difference between the two temps. This time I had almost a whole degree difference! If I use the lower temp, FF doesn't give me cross hairs. The later temp is higher than usual though. I found the average and tried to use that. I don't know anymore!! If I use CD34 as O, I have a POAS date of October 31 (13DPO). I have a RX for 12 days of progesterone so I might start that this cycle too.
@Littlebit: I guess put me down for October 31 for now? I hate POAS during the weekday so we'll see if I stick with that or self rollover...

@loopedd: Are you my twin?! I went to law school in Boston. I miss it dearly but love living in NY. My is totally with Boston sports teams though!!

@LOOPEDD- my husband went to BC He loved it! I work at the other Boston school so we fight during hockey season.
I'm coming to NYC on Wed-Friday this week for a conference and I have to watch the world series-- rut roh. Go Sox (quietly)!

@LindsayInNY: Haha awesome!! Yeah I grew up in an Orioles household, started following the Rex Sox in college... needless to say, my dad is very disappointed that I married a die-hard Yankee fan!! I swear he'd pick Derek Jeter over me if given the choice...

@RLCeigh: It's funny, in our house it's as if there IS no World Series... if the Yankees aren't in it, it doesn't exist I will secretly root for the Sox though!!
Love all the Boston connections!
