@RLCeigh: DH went to BU for his LLM And an ex-bf has worked in the sports/marketing department for YEARS! Such a small world. I'll gladly root for the Sox in NYC with you!! Is your conference in Manhattan?
@loopedd: DH's secondary team is the Red Sox for the same reason... He's primarily a Tigers fan though so we had a divided household the past week! The Tigers are my "back up" team so I would've been happy with either team winning really!

@lindsayinny: it is- I am staying at the Hilton Midtown on the Ave of the Americas (and I'm sure I just used totally wrong NY speak to say the address). I'll be ready to cheer on the Sox!
I've worked at BU for years too-- my husband worked here too until recently, different offices but we met at work.
He is now really happy to be all about BC again

I had to take a bit of time away from Hellobee, but am ready to pop back in now. But I'm so sad there aren't a whole bunch of new BFPs.!
Sending lots and lots of baby dust to all of the rest of the October ladies, hopefully you guys can end the month on a high note!

I think I might have ovulated later than I expected, so I'm going to hold off on testing until later in the week. Maybe the 25th at the earliest. I'm scared!! Not because I'm scared to be pregnant, but I'm scared to NOT be pregnant.

Day 30 and still no period but getting negative on cheapies. All day I felt like AF would show up and NOTHING. I feel like crap today too and I think it's from AF being on her way.
I think the B Complex has totally thrown off my cycle. It lengthened it which I wanted but I don't even know when I ovulated at this point!
I guess I'm not technically not out yet but this limbo sucks!

@Boopers: Hang in there! I am also on day 31- and nothing yet. Lets just keep hoping! I can't test though because I can't handle getting another BFN. Good luck to you!

@Boopers: The cycle that I took B6 definitely messed it up! I took it after I got a +OPK but then ended up actually Oing almost a week later!
@Boopers: @Claire.Peonies: If it makes either of you feel any better, I've had cycles where I've Oed on CD30+ - this being one of them. Talk about time going by SO slowly!!

@LindsayInNY: @loopedd: small world, we are in Boston now (have both spent many years here), lived in NYC for 2 years before moving back, and I grew up in the Detroit area. So I cheer for both Boston and Detroit. kind of sad for the Tigers, I feel like Detroit could use a boost!

Hey guys - was planning to keep my big mouth shut and just lurk but here I am anyways. On CD 36, still no AF but two expensive BFNs - we were ntnp this month and since DH was out of town nearly all month, minimal time together for BD and since I didn't temp/chart, I have no idea if anything was well timed. I am just feeling so frustrated cuz my gut says I'm not pregnant but my body won't just give in and send AF already. My cycles pre-Iud/baby were allll over the place in length so I don't know why I would be surprised, but still totally annoyed about the place where I seem to be stuck.
Sorry for the word vomit. Lesson learned - charting is good. Hopefully I can join the Nov thread in a better place. Need to invest in some cheapie pregnancy tests before then.
ETA: any chance anyone has heard of intense thirst being an early pregnancy sign?

@Boopers: @Claire.Peonies: @Mrs. Confetti: good luck to all three of you! If I'm not pregnant, I at least will be so happy if you three are!!!!!!!

Hello ladies,
Unfortunately AF arrived, so I'm another rollover.
Trying to find the positives - I get to attend a good friend's wedding next June that I would not have been able to travel for should I have gotten pregnant this month. It's only a small consolation, but it's important to be positive
My first month charting threw open some interesting observations... My cycle was a longer 29 days (only 2nd time it's been that long since I started tracking length almost 12 months ago). Per FF and increasing temperatures, I ovulated on the 14th day, which gives me a LP of 15 days. If this is in fact accurate, it means I ovulate earlier on my normal 27ish day cycle than I previously thought. Whether my LP will stay constant remains to be seen…
My temperatures are definitely biphasic – so this gives me comfort that I do in fact ovulate. However it’s stressing me that because my cycle length differs by about two days each month, predicting O is very difficult.
I am now looking forward to November. In terms of timing, this month would be the most perfect so far so I am sending out as many positive thoughts as I can muster!
Good luck to all the ladies still waiting for the rest of October!!

@Mrs. Confetti: I actually HAVE heard that being a sign of early pregnancy.. so that's definitely not a bad thing! I hope you get some definitive news soon!
Good luck to all the ladies testing today/soon!
On a positive note, my BFN earlier this month is allowing me to let loose a bit tonight at a big concert (Phish) we've been waiting months for. So... silver linings? Hope everyone has a great day!

Well think I only ov'd yesterday which is later than I thought I would, still waiting for crosshairs though so won't be POAS till early nov. Probably good though as we are going watching wicked on the 31st and a BFN would have really put a downer on things. Not got much hope for this month though as we only managed to BD successfully 5,4 and 1 days before o due to a 'groin injury'! Next month he is doing warm up stretches haha.
Still quite a few of us due to test though so fingers crossed for all of you

Hey all, Ive been trying to take a different approach to this tww, staying off google and trying not to drive myself crazy. I made it all the way to 9dpo lol ...nothing too exciting but I wanted to ask if anyone knows how reliable the charts are when comparing on FF...If I hit charts like mine and check all the boxes, it comes up with 2 charts both resulting in positives. Kind of gets my hopes up! But I learned my lesson testing this early the last few months. Should I test Friday at 12 dpo or wait until Sunday? Friday happens to be the 2 year anniversary of my aunts passing so I have mixed feelings on how I would feel seeing a negative on an already sad day. But then think about how great it would be to see a

@Lugrey508: I would say to wait till AF is due. But I am only saying that because I hate seeing BFN.

@littlek: Sunday seems so far away Saturday night we are all going out for my friends do over 30th birthday since last year was a wash ..literally... with hurricane Sandy. I guess I'll take my chances and enjoy the night.

@Lugrey508: I am so impressed with your self control. I've told myself that I'll stay away from dr. Google and I usually make it a couple of hours
Not sure I have good advice about when to test. Maybe wait until Saturday or Sunday so your aunt's passing and your bfp each have their own day?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Lugrey508: you can always split the difference and do Saturday.

@CakeLady: It has not been easy! Im distracting myself with end of the year evals for my job and pinterest xmas card ideas ! I just got a cricut so I've been experimenting.
I think maybe Saturday morning will be the best time for me to test...It's a good idea to try to keep my spirits up on Friday. Thanks for the advice

@Mrs. Confetti: Are your cycles super long? Thirst is definitely an early pregnancy sign. But honestly, I think early pregnancy signs are sooo confusing. Because its pretty much the same signs for both pregnancy and AF. With LO, the only prepregnancy sign I had was extreme exhaustion. We were not trying, I didn't track my cycles, so I didn't even realize I was late until a friend pointed out to me that I could possibly be pregnant. I think later on, around 6 - 8 weeks the pregnancy symptoms kicked in, sore boobs, etc.

@thismustbetheplace: Definitely a silver lining.

I am going to drive myself crazy by this time next week. I am pretty sure I am imagining symptoms, because they only last a few minutes then go away and come back again later. This is going to be a long week...

@Marfi: The day after I ovulated, DH was like, so when do we know the results? Hahahaha men.

@littlek: I wish it was instantaneous like that. That would help us impatient people!

Still no AF. The last two cycles I've taken b complex which have lengthened my cycle to 29 days and currently day 31. Before taking the b complex my cycles were 26 and 27 days. The cramping has stopped but it still feels like AF could come. I've gotten negatives on wondfos. Do I splurge and buy a FRER? Do I wait for AF? Darn this cycle!

How do you all stay positive? The first couple months were easy, but this month has me pretty bummed. How do you get out of those moods where you feel like it will never happen? I'm not trying to be insensitive..I know in the grand scheme of things I haven't been trying long at all. But I have this overwhelming sense of what if this never happens for me? I need to snap out of it.
Tips on what you all do, please! I'm trying to stay positive..and I have to keep reminding myself that it takes the average couple 6 months to conceive.

@Littlebit: It's really hard, but I just try to push the negative thoughts out of my mind. If I start going down that road, I distract myself in some way and force myself to think about something happy. It will happen.
persimmon / 1388 posts
@Littlebit: I've found investing my time in improving myself has been a great distraction these past few months. I'm currently studying for a professional certification; if I can't make a baby, well, I may as well improve my future some how! Don't get me wrong, I still have my sad, dramatic, "WHY ME" days. But they are fewer and more far between, now.
