Another BFN for me this morning (14DPO)
Good luck to everyone testing in the next few days, we need some good news up in here!
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
BFN for me too, though at 9dpo I feel ok about that. Planning to test again Sunday. I've set a limit for myself of 3 hpts max so I don't drive myself too crazy.

@bhbee: I learned a lot from my obsessive poas'ing last month...I vow to only test on weekends now !

Sorry for not posting the updated one yesterday..I was out sick! Please let me know if anyone needs any changes to the list. I'm out of it today

Ahhh, I learned the term "symptom spotting" on this thread and I am trying not to drive myself crazy... I must say, my first TWW is as long as I'd feared. 4 more days!

Thanks ladies, for your feedback on the flu shot. I'm glad to hear it shouldn't affect anything.
Unfortunately, I think I'm already out for this month. I started spotting today (6 DPO), which happened the same time last cycle and continued until I got my period. It's strange, because before TTC I never had this happen. Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem?
I'll check back in to see how everyone else is doing, and maybe update on myself but I'm probably not going to test this month. Good luck to all of you!

@crunchy1: could it be a low progesterone issue? I know that's one reason why people spot in the luteal phase (LP). Could you ask your doctor to do a blood test to check your P levels at 7 DPO?
cherry / 202 posts
@loopedd: The first TWW is an eternity ! I'm on cycle # 4 and day # 6 ...its a waiting game after AF is over with then again to O date and then the TWW! Its like the regular calendar doesnt even exist anymore!
nectarine / 2932 posts
@loopedd: The first TWW was the WORST. I've said this before somewhere, but I feel like all month long I'm just waiting for the next thing. Waiting to O, waiting to confirm O, waiting to test, waiting for AF, then back to waiting to O. It sucks!
@Lugrey508: thank you! I think it was a short stomach bug..I'm already feeling a lot better. Just kind of in a fog!

@Littlebit: There's alot going around lately, my whole office is sick and I'm trying to keep my distance! I guess I'll need a surgical mask soon because I refuse to get the flu shot.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@crunchy1: I've had this problem too - before my first LO I could spot for a whole week or more leading up to AF. They always told me it didn't matter (even at the RE) but I think it's worth asking your doc about because it's certainly no fun. I still tend to have more spotting than normal but it is better post-LO.

@loopedd: I feel ya! I'm 9DPO today and this TWW is so painful (also my 1st TWW)!
@Littlebit: You're doing a great job-- thank you! Rest up and hope you feel better soon!

@Littlebit: Hope you feel better soon!
@loopedd: NOT symptom spotting is the hardest thing! Especially in the 2nd half of the TWW, it's just brutal. Unfortunately the TWW doesn't get any easier past your 1st one.
@crunchy1: I'm glad you asked about the flu shot, it's been on my mind this week too! I think I'm going to hold off until the first half of next cycle though, just so I don't throw off my temps during the TWW. Sorry to hear about your spotting though. I agree with the PPs that suggested progesterone levels. Have you ever had a 21 day/7DPO progesterone test?
kiwi / 536 posts
@Lugrey508: @Mrs. Amethyst: @Littlebit: @Sprite: Thanks for making me feel less crazy -- or at least that others are feeling as nuts as I am!! I wonder how life is for people are who aren't obsessive planners like me

Does anyone want to humor me and look at my chart? I'm pretty sure that 5DPO is too early for an implantation dip, right? Isn't it usually days 6-9?
Yesterday with the huge dip below coverline I was concerned, but temps are back even higher today. I've never had a dip this extreme to below coverline before, but it could maybe be a fluke?
Anyway, please entertain me! I'm procrastinating on work and can't stop looking at my chart.

@loopedd: I'm betting people who aren't type-A planners have a much less tortured TWW, haha! But if you would like something else to obsess about in the TWW, feel free to look up due dates if you get a BFP this cycle, look at the calendar to decide when to tell family if you get a BFP this cycle (if you haven't already done these things!) and spend hours on this site http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/early-pregnancy-symptoms/symptoms-by-day-past-ovulation.php
....I obviously love to torture myself, and I haven't learned better, even 6 cycles in.
kiwi / 536 posts
@Sprite: oh wow, that site is a gold mine for self-torture! I have been crazy nauseous for the past 18hrs or so, which I now see is the number 6 most common very early pregnancy symptom for 7 dpo
And oh yes, I've done those things... I'd tell the family at Christmas. BAD BAD LOOPEDD

@sprite I have no idea about the temp drop but your chart titles are hilarious!

@Sprite: This is my first cycle and I am going crazy! I have totally figured out due date and when we will announce already so now I am off to waste my time on that site! Sorry I am not any help on your chart, I am so new to it that I don't have the faintest clue!

@psw27: I was just about to say the same thing!
@Sprite: I love your chart titles!

@doxielove: Sorry you're out! November is a great month
@Sprite: Implantation dips and implantation spotting are much talked about, but are actually very rare. That said, your chart *does* look like that could be an implantation dip. I guess your temps over the next few days will give more info. Fingers crossed!
I'm rooting for all you October poas'ers - we need more June mamas

@Littlebit: Can you move my POAS date to the 19th? I FINALLY got my smiley face OPK. Thanks!
cherry / 242 posts
@Cole: I just got my first OPK+, too! My husband works 24 hour shifts, so I'm hoping he'll think of some excuse to come home for a couple hours

@Littlebit- thanks for organizing the chart! I get excited when there is a scheduled POAS for today. And glad you feel better.
I'm CD13 and got my very first smiley on the OPK this am. You would have thought it was a BFP! I woke up my husband to show him and he even thought it was very cute-- and we'll have a fun weekend BDing!
I did chuckle because on the OPK box it instructs us to 'make love' in the next 48 hours. I'm so used to thinking of it as BD that make love makes me laugh:)
grapefruit / 4649 posts
@mrskoloa: Fingers crossed he can sneak out! It is oddly exciting isn't it?! It just hit me today though that part of what makes the tww so stressful is that there is nothing to do! Nothing to pee on, no reason to obsess over schedules, just waiting...

Hi, hope you don't mind me joining you all? I will hopefully be testing on the 31st (just started AF today ). Did not realise how hard this TCC thing would be. Lots of admiration for those of you who have been trying a while and still keep going!
Cycles Trying:
Current Cycle Day: 1
Estimated Ovulation Date: 19th
POAS Date: 31st
BD Timing: EOD then hopefully lots round O!
Anything new or extra this cycle? Going to start temping and TRY to get DH to take his vits...
Favourite holiday: got to be Easter, it's when we got married.
Thank you everyone!

@Littlebit: I am glad you are feeling better, I hope the post sickness fog lifts soon so you can enjoy the weekend! Will you put my poas date for the 16th? I think that will be 12dpo, that seems about right, right? Thanks!

@Sprite: Also, I'm terrible at reading charts, but I LOVE the names of each cycle!!
cherry / 242 posts
@Cole: It IS exciting! I'm sure my husband will think of some reason to come home. The fires will have to wait! But now I'm thinking about all the anxiety I'll feel during the TWW. I need some coping techniques!

@Snowdrop: welcome!
@Cole: @mrskoloa: I've got you guys updated with the new dates- it'll show up on the next page
